In the game ‘Assassin’s Creed Shadows’, you may encounter several mechanisms requiring additional effort for thorough comprehension and mastery of their correct usage.
One system you’ll discover at an early stage is the “Wanted System”. This function is reminiscent of how the earlier “Assassin’s Creed” games starring Ezio incorporated a Wanted System, and “Shadows” follows suit with this feature as well.
In this tutorial, I’ll walk you through all the essential details about the Wanted System in “Assassin’s Creed Shadows”. I’ll explain how it functions within the game, and provide tips on what actions you should take to minimize your wanted level and move freely around Japan without causing trouble.
How The Wanted System Works
As I dive into this captivating journey, I find myself traversing the rich landscapes of feudal Japan. It seems that wherever I go, I inevitably find myself in a whirlwind of chaos and conflict. The law enforcement is always on my tail, and it’s essential to navigate through the intricate web of the wanted system if I want to avoid any unnecessary run-ins with the authorities. This thrilling game promises an immersive experience that I can’t wait to explore!
Regardless if you’re employing different stealth tactics to move unnoticed, or exerting effort to penetrate places for eliminating assigned targets, your actions will undoubtedly create a lot of commotion as you proceed.
Whenever I’m bending the rules in this game, if someone spots me, my heat level ramps up. As that heat level grows, I start to draw unwanted attention from law enforcers, who won’t hesitate to take me down when they see me. Things get even trickier because there are these tough enemies called Guardians lurking around too, and if the cops don’t finish me off, they surely will.
In any given region, being sought after as Yasuke means you won’t be welcomed as Naoe, unless you violate the law in which case both characters become questionable. Also, being wanted in one location doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll have a bounty on your head in another area. Your status depends on the character you’re controlling and the location you’re playing in.
If you’re finding it tough to navigate the gameplay in ‘Assassin’s Creed Shadows’, here’s a compiled guide containing some valuable beginner strategies we’ve discovered for your convenience.
How To Lower Your Wanted Level
Reducing your Wanted Level will be essential for smooth gameplay, as it helps avoid numerous complications and challenges.
Fortunately, you can reduce your wanted level with ease in the game Assassin’s Creed Syndicate by utilizing these two simple methods:
1. Pay off bounties at the Templar Stronghold.
2. Let enough time pass without causing chaos.
Enjoy playing the game!
- Use scouts
- Change the season
Additionally, you have the option to take on the role of Yasuke as well. This means that if Naoe is causing trouble, you’ll be able to navigate the region more freely using Yasuke. However, keep in mind that even though you’re switching characters, Naoe will still be wanted; your freedom to move will just be associated with Yasuke.
Use Scouts
One simple method to decrease your wanted status is by employing your reconnaissance units. These units can be utilized to clean up your Regional Alerts and Wanted Marks, thereby reducing your level of wantedness in designated regions. To carry out this task, you will require a level 2 Hiding Place (Kakurega).
Using this approach, you can quickly reduce your wanted level, but keep in mind that it will end up costing you more because upgrading your hideout structures will become necessary.
Change The Season
Another approach to reducing your wanted level is simply waiting for the season to change, allowing it to decrease on its own over time.
Changing the season can be done in one of two ways:
- Wait for it to pass
- Each season will last around 140 to 180 minutes.
- Change it manually
- When on the map screen, you will see the option to use the D-Pad to change the seasons.
As the seasons shift, your wanted status will be cleared, scout positions will refresh, and merchants will replenish their stock.
Regardless of the method you select, each approach helps lower your Wanted Level in “Assassin’s Creed Shadows,” enabling you to carry on your journey as both Naoe and Yasuke without causing a stir or attracting unwanted attention during your travels.
