Summary
- Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2’s new Hardcore Mode increases difficulty with permanent negative perks and no fast travel.
- Patch 1.2.4 finally adds Hardcore Mode for free, giving players a tougher KCD2 experience.
A fresh update for the highly anticipated sequel, “Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2“, has introduced the much-desired Hardcore Mode. This exciting feature allows players to immerse themselves in the RPG with an increased level of difficulty. Only skilled and dedicated “Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2” enthusiasts stand a chance of conquering the game in this new, challenging mode.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is one of the most notable achievements of this year, selling exceptionally well since its release in February. The studio behind it, Warhorse Studios, can be proud of their success with this game. Critics have commended it for its exceptional commitment to realism, and the developers have continued to refine the game through updates since its launch.
As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to share that my beloved game, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, has rolled out its long-awaited 1.2.4 update, bringing the much-anticipated Hardcore Mode into play! You see, Warhorse Studios hinted at this challenging feature for quite some time, and now it’s here for us players to savor.
Remember when Hardcore Mode in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 accidentally surfaced via console commands last month? It was a work in progress, but the complete version is now live! This mode aims to ramp up the difficulty, starting each playthrough with three permanent negative traits for players to manage. Say goodbye to fast travel and automatic location markers on your map, too – it’s all about survival of the fittest here!
Combat has also seen a significant overhaul, as Warhorse Studios warns us: “Enemies will try to flank you, so engaging multiple opponents becomes a real challenge.” It’s time to step up our game and adapt to this tougher experience in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2!
Beyond the challenging experience offered by the Hardcore Mode in “Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2,” Version 1.2.4 also brings a host of other important improvements. For instance, prices for herbs at shops have been adjusted, various perks have been rectified, and an issue with saving when using too many mods has been addressed. What might be most exciting for players is the addition of a bald hairstyle option for Henry in the barber. While this isn’t the largest update focusing solely on Hardcore Mode, it should still provide plenty of engaging content for gamers.
Despite offering free updates for the game, Warhorse Studios continues to develop paid DLC for “Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2”. As initially planned in their roadmap, they aim to release three such expansions this year, so players will need to be patient and wait to see what the studio has been working on later in 2022.
