Initially, Daredevil made its debut on Netflix as the first Marvel series, spanning over three seasons and concluding in 2018. Later, Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock character briefly reappeared in Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021). Excitement among fans soared when Daredevil resurfaced in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law (2022). This year, he also showed up in Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, with Charlie Cox lending his voice, despite the animated series existing in a separate timeline.
Finally, Daredevil returns to star in his own series once more titled “Daredevil: Reborn“. This isn’t a standalone season though, as production for season 2 is already in progress. Many unanswered questions remain following the finale, which leaves us wondering about the future. Here are all the plot points left unresolved at the end of Daredevil: Reborn Season 1.
Spoilers Ahead for Netflix’s Daredevil and Daredevil: Born Again
6. Can Matt Resume His Job As A Lawyer?
Daredevil Forever

Following Matt’s act of self-sacrifice by taking a bullet for Fisk, one might expect gratitude. However, quite unexpectedly, Fisk dispatches an assassin to eliminate Matt in the hospital. Fortunately, Frank, also known as The Punisher, intervenes, thwarting a group of corrupt cops who were attempting to complete the assassination.
It appears that Matt’s legal career has come to a halt due to Fisk’s persistent attempts on his life, and he won’t be able to return home soon. Instead, he must remain concealed in the shadows for safety. The latest season of Daredevil: Born Again was relatively Daredevil-less, but it seems that the next season will heavily feature him as he finds himself bound to this persona until he can stop Fisk from causing any more harm.
5. Did Frank Escape His Cell?
The Punisher Is Loose

In the series “Daredevil: Born Again,” it was plausible that they intended to eliminate Frank to underscore their commitment to no-nonsense storytelling. However, they demonstrated this early on through Foggy’s murder. Killing The Punisher would have been more impactful, but fortunately for the audience, law enforcement does not kill Frank. Instead, he is imprisoned in a hidden dungeon within Fisk’s complex, as shown in the final scene.
Among the other figures present, there’s Jack, also known by the nickname Swordsman. It’s unclear if Frank managed to break free from his cell, but if he did, it seems likely that he may have taken out a guard and possibly grabbed the keys too. Now that I find myself in this labyrinth, should Frank go on a rampage here or will he choose prudence, rescue Jack and the rest of us, and then make our escape to reunite with Daredevil once more?
4. What Is The State Of New York City?
Who Is In Danger?

Season 1’s finale promises major developments in the MCU, as Fisk imposes martial law over New York City. Curfews are enforced, police appear to wield unprecedented authority, and any masked vigilantes will be met with immediate arrest or lethal force. It remains unclear if Fisk distinguishes between a vigilante like Daredevil and other super-powered figures such as The Hulk or Captain America.
Although Avengers Campus has relocated from New York City, the Sanctum Sanctorum persists, and it’s likely that Spider-Man continues his activities. Does this put these characters on Kingpin’s hit list? What about the military, and the broader United States? Can Fisk truly operate with impunity by taking a city hostage in a world teeming with superheroes? Ms. Marvel and Kate Bishop are nearby, and they could swiftly aid Daredevil in dismantling Fisk’s operations.
3. What Happened To Angela?
The White Tiger Rises Again

In the comic book “Daredevil: Born Again,” Hector was initially depicted as the masked superhero known as White Tiger, whose strength stemmed from the Amulet of Power. Later on, Matt Murdock aided Hector in getting released from prison after a sequence of challenges, which Hector appreciated at first. However, following his court hearing, Hector was tragically killed by gunfire. This unfortunate incident left Angela, Hector’s niece, bitter towards Matt for not providing more assistance to her uncle during this difficult time.
In the turn of events, Angela decides to take control and ends up getting captured by Muse. Fortunately, Daredevil intervenes and rescues her. For now, it appears that Angela is safe; however, an intriguing dilemma arises. Could Angela don the mask and wield the Amulet of Power, potentially becoming the new White Tiger?
2. Will Bullseye Become An Ally?
The Enemy Of My Enemy

In the beginning of “Daredevil: Born Again,” Bullseye is the antagonist who ends up killing Foggy. Daredevil attempts to eliminate him, yet Bullseye manages to evade death and winds up in prison instead. As the season progresses, he breaks out of jail and makes an attempt on Wilson Fisk’s life during his inaugural ball. However, it is Matt who takes the bullet meant for Fisk in this instance.
Following that, Bullseye slips away and appears in an unidentified flat during the closing moments of the season. It’s uncertain what moves Bullseye might make next, whether he’ll pursue Fisk once more or not. Given their shared disregard for morality, it seems plausible that Bullseye and The Punisher could join forces. However, the real question is whether Daredevil can bury his grudge against Bullseye to save New York City in time.
1. What Army Was Daredevil Talking About?
Literal Or Figurative?

By the finale of season one, Daredevil opts against pursuing Fisk, implying that any resolution would be deferred until season two. This is due to his injury and strategic reasoning – he believes they’ll require a larger force to defeat Fisk effectively. He confides in Karen about this plan, stating the necessity of gathering an army if they are to successfully bring down their formidable adversary.
Is it possible that Daredevil was using a figurative sense when he said that? He might be suggesting that he needs more citizens to rally against Fisk’s compound, to expose his lies, since the police are of no help due to lack of trust and the overall corruption in the law system. If by “more bodies” he meant a literal army, then allies like Ms. Marvel and Kate Bishop, who are also present in NYC, could be potential recruits for this cause.
