Summary
- Players can earn the Beetriz pet during a new Twitch Drop celebrating World of Warcraft’s 11.1.5 update.
- The campaign will run from April 22 to May 20.
- Beetriz will be added to players’ collections after watching four hours of content from participating channels.
In simple terms, Blizzard has unveiled a new reward on Twitch for World of Warcraft fans to collect as they eagerly await the release of Patch 11.1.5. By syncing their Twitch and Battle.net accounts and tuning in for at least four hours on qualifying streams, players can obtain the Beetriz battle pet – a lively yellow beetle ally within World of Warcraft.
Starting April 22nd, I’ll be diving back into Azeroth after some server maintenance, as World of Warcraft’s Patch 11.1.5, named Nightfall, goes live! This update is packed with goodies – from class balance adjustments in both PvE and PvP content, to new world activities, and handy quality-of-life improvements. One exciting feature I’m looking forward to is the Cooldown Manager, which could potentially replace external mods like WeakAuras for many of us gamers. By toggling it on in the Options menu, I’ll get new bars on my user interface that can be tailored to alert me when my game-changing spells and abilities, like the Paladin’s Avenging Wrath or the Warrior’s Recklessness, are ready for action!
Before the April 22 release of Nightfall, World of Warcraft has unveiled a fresh companion pet for players to acquire. Starting on Tuesday, April 22 at 1:00 PM Eastern and running until Tuesday, May 20 at 1:00 PM Eastern, World of Warcraft players can snag the Beetriz battle pet by taking part in an upcoming Twitch Drops event. This yellow and black beetle resembles a bumblebee quite often.
World of Warcraft Adds Beetriz Pet as a Twitch Drop
- World of Warcraft players can earn the Beetriz pet as a Twitch Drops reward once Patch 11.1.5 is released.
- The Twitch Drops campaign runs from April 22 to May 20.
- Beetriz will be added to players’ collections after watching four hours of content from participating channels.
- Players must connect their Twitch and Battle.net accounts to earn rewards via Twitch Drops.
As per Blizzard, players who view a total of at least 4 hours of content related to World of Warcraft on participating Twitch channels will find Beetriz added automatically to their Collections tab. Players can accumulate these watch hours by tuning into various channels at different times, ensuring they meet the required 4-hour watch time threshold during the active period of the Twitch Drops campaign in order to claim the new pet.
In a similar fashion to Tock the Clocker Spaniel and other combat pets acquired through Twitch Drops, players of World of Warcraft need to link their Twitch and Battle.net accounts first before any watch time can be earned for the new reward. This process can be done via a web browser on the Battle.net account page and by choosing the option to connect with Twitch. It’s also important to note that Beetriz is exclusive to The War Within expansion and cannot be found in World of Warcraft: Classic.
As a dedicated World of Warcraft gamer, I’m super pumped about the upcoming Patch 11.1.5! With the new Twitch Drops and rewards from the Nightfall campaign up for grabs, there’s going to be a treasure trove of content waiting for us players. However, only time will tell what Blizzard has in store to keep this excitement rolling once Patch 11.1.5 drops!
