The game titled Blue Prince isn’t afraid to present challenging puzzles and intricate puzzle rooms. Instead, it revels in logic-based riddles that stimulate your mind and leave you pondering until you figure them out with a little guidance from hints scattered throughout the house.
In the game ‘Blue Prince’, one of the brain teasers it offers to the player can be found within the unique and challenging-to-design room known as the ‘Gallery’. This room is adorned with four thought-provoking and enigmatic paintings that may leave you scratching your head. If you find yourself stuck, this guide will walk you through solving each of the four puzzles in the Gallery Room within ‘Blue Prince’.
All Gallery Room Painting Hints & Answers in Blue Prince
Four artworks each feature an empty spot labeled for titles, indicating that you should name them to complete the riddle. Here are some points to consider before diving into the challenge to make your task simpler:
1. Examine the artwork closely for any recurring themes or symbols.
2. Look for connections between the paintings, as they might be interrelated in some way.
3. Consider the context and setting of each painting if provided.
4. Trust your intuition and creativity; sometimes, the title may not be immediately obvious but can still fit perfectly with the artwork’s essence.
- Hint 1: There are no essential hints in the other parts of the mansion, everything you need to solve these puzzles is right here in the Gallery Room. However, there are some helpful clues in the Classroom.
- Hint 2: All the painting titles are themed, with their answers relating to understand, contemplate, deliberate, etc.
- Hint 3: The paintings are essentially just wordplays that require the player to think in a particular way to solve them. Describe the big parts of the scenery when you see it in different ways and try to combine words together to make something that fits the answer slot.
One artwork poses a single-word question, where figuring out the correct answer may sometimes involve creative thinking or intellectual leaps, calling for a degree of cognitive flexibility from the participant.

- Painting 1: The main subject in the first painting is the large text “THICK.” Everything except the K is bolded, meaning there is a “Thin K” in the painting. Hence, the answer is Think.

- Painting 2: The second painting shows the letter P riding high in the sky on a cart which contains a stop sign, an apple, a rose, and a fire hydrant. If you’ve visited the classroom before, you’ll have figured out that all of these items are supposed to be red in color, though they’re monochrome in the image. Since the stop sign in the image is flipped, we come to the answer of “P On Der” (Der being a flipped red), Ponder.

- Painting 3: The table in the middle of the room spells the word Veri, which is Latin for truth. There is a big board with the words “Actual Objective,” and a whole lot of eyes populating the floor of the room. Combining all these clues, we get the answer, “Real” “Eyes,” i.e., Realize.

- Painting 4: The fourth painting shows an infinity symbol in the middle of a room full of nails. However, the eighth red envelope and the eight in the classroom are represented by the same symbol, meaning this is probably also the number eight. The title for this room is “Room In Eight,” or Ruminate.
Rewards for Solving the Gallery Room Puzzle in Blue Prince
Solving all four painting puzzles will earn you not one, but two rewards. In the center of the room, you’ll find two pedestals. As you solve more puzzles, each pair of solved puzzles will open one of these pedestals. The first pair of puzzles unlocks a pedestal that rewards you with some precious gems. Solving the remaining two painting titles, however, grants you Key 8, which can be used to unlock Room 8.
As a fan, I found out from the title of the fourth painting that Room 8 is hidden on the eighth row. To unlock it, players must create a room on the eighth row that needs a specific key to open. Instead of using a regular key, they should utilize the Room 8 key instead. It’s the very same room depicted in the final image.
