In the Episode: Heresy, the initial Strand Glaive in Destiny 2 is introduced as a result of the player’s refusal to answer the call. This addition allows players to enlarge their arsenal and experience the excitement of Suspend, Unravel, and Sever abilities, all packed within the formidable melee weapon designed for eliminating Hive and other adversaries of the Light.
In Destiny 2, the Refusal of the Call is an entertaining tool, and its potential is bound to increase significantly with suitable perks. Mastering the Refusal of the Call God Roll and learning how to acquire it will be crucial for any player aiming to uncover hidden strength and true power.
How to Get Refusal of the Call in Destiny 2
In the Episode: Heresy Activities, players won’t find Refusal of the Call drops directly. Instead, they need to progress through either Court of Blades or The Nether to obtain it. Among these two options, The Nether seems to be the most rewarding for Refusal of the Call loot, as it offers numerous chest encounters where this weapon can drop.
Additionally, there’s also an Adept version of Refusal of the Call that can be obtained by chance during Expert runs in both The Nether and Court of Blades.
As a gamer, I’ve discovered an interesting trick: you can ensure a Refusal of the Call, but it may not be the best roll you could get. To do this consistently, navigate to your Inventory and activate the Tome of Want using this specific scripture:
“Activate the Tome of Want and watch as my destiny unfolds with a Refusal of the Call.
- Scripture: Episodic Weapons
- Crumbling Scripture: Glaive
- Ritual of Desire
This action requires approximately 100 Sigil Shards and 5 Essence of Desire. However, it ensures a Glaive roll every time players finish a tier from the Tome of Want, which can be accomplished by participating in Episodic activities, competing in the Crucible, or defeating powerful enemies.

Perk Two | Sword Logic |
- The God Roll Perks for Refusal of the Call will be: Slice & Sword Logic
It’s high time for the Glaive builds to reappear, as they’ve consistently been an entertaining choice for slicing through adversaries. For the first Perk, players will prefer Slice. Slice enables users to utilize their Class Ability to inflict Sever on their Glaive, causing their next 5 strikes within 8 seconds to Sever targets, reducing their damage output by approximately 30%. Combining this Perk with a melee Glaive build offers players a method to persistently weaken their enemies.
As a gamer, I’d say choosing Perk 2, Sword Logic, makes perfect sense. Landing the final blows with Refusal of the Call not only feels satisfying but also boosts my damage output. This boost is determined by the stacks I accumulate, and these stacks come from various enemy types I encounter in the game.
- Minor Enemies: 1 Stack (15% damage buff)
- Elite Enemies: 2 Stacks (25% damage buff)
- Minibosses: 3 Stacks (35% damage buff)
- Bosses: 4 Stacks (50% damage buff)
Continuous slaying during the active phase of Sword Logic, using Refusal of the Kill, will prolong its duration. This way, players who keep killing enemies will gradually boost their damage output.
