In the festive Cursed Hollow event within the game Phasmophobia, participants are tasked with finding hidden Forest Spirits disguised as mischievous bunnies. These spirits can be found in various spots across haunted maps. This unique Easter-themed event introduces a playful Forest Spirit, a supernatural entity that occasionally appears at random locations to create havoc and interfere with investigations.

To spark interest among players, Kinetic Games is experimenting with a fresh reward mechanism linked to the event. Given their elusive nature in Phasmophobia, this guide offers strategies for finding them swiftly and effectively.

How to Find Forest Minions

The Cursed Hollow event takes place from April 17th until May 7th. During this time, players will be given unique tasks to banish the Forest Spirit’s haunted spots, with these locations changing daily. This gives players a chance to explore and enjoy the event across multiple maps. Map symbols indicate which areas are currently under the influence of the Forest Spirit.

Prior to venturing out to catch Forest Sprites, it’s advisable for players to arm themselves with these items to boost their likelihood of a successful hunt:

  • Tier I, II, or III D.O.T.S. Projector (Required)
  • Flashlight (Optional)
  • Sanity Medication (Optional)

Upon reaching a map shrouded by the Forest Spirit’s presence, players will observe noticeable visual alterations: twigs, damaged bird nests, and jars glowing green with buzzing insects swarming about the surroundings. The Forest Creatures, being invisible to the untrained eye, are concealed within the nests.

Pointing a DOTS Projector at a nest will make the hidden minions appear for a moment before scurrying off. Players can also hear soft whispers or chatter to locate nearby minions. When all Forest Minions on a map are found, the Forest Spirit becomes active, occasionally offering advantages but also introducing fresh obstacles.

It’s suggested to have sanity-restoring medication on hand to help mitigate any negative consequences that may arise from these interactions.

Since the game’s haunted locations shift on a day-to-day basis, it’s recommended that players return often to explore each ghostly map and advance their event progress as fully as possible.

Cursed Hollow Event Rewards

During the Cursed Hollow event, participants can gather both Group and Individual Perks. The total points for this event can be seen below the contract screen’s “Easter Event Team Points” section, and finding a Forest Minion will reward you with 2 points.

Besides gathering Forest Spirits, players gain additional scores for accurately spotting the phantom (earn +10 Points) and accomplishing extra tasks during quests (earn +3 Points each). You can monitor your progress on the Event Panel.

Kinetic Games is experimenting with a novel system called “event reward sharing” to make sure that each player reaps benefits from an event, regardless of whether or not they’ve unlocked every map.
