In the game known as “The Sims 4“, achieving success is not confined only to conventional jobs. Instead, it extends to the creation of fresh opportunities. With the Entrepreneur Skill, players’ Sims can establish businesses, trade goods, and convert their interests into financial gain.
As a passionate fan, I’d say: In The Sims 4, the Entrepreneur Skill empowers my Sims to forge their unique journey towards financial freedom. Whether they’re dabbling in a side gig or building a robust business empire, this skill guide is packed with all the insights necessary to help my Sims excel as self-made tycoons!
How to Get Entrepreneur Skill in The Sims 4
Skills serve as pastimes and actions that a Sim can participate in, and as they develop these skills, they gain access to unique social interactions, actions on items, and boosts. Furthermore, for most jobs, improving skills is essential for advancement. While numerous skills are included in the base game, others can only be accessed through additional content (expansion packs or DLC).
In the game “The Sims 4: High School Years,” a new ability called Entrepreneurship is introduced, empowering Sims to demonstrate independence and initiative. Here’s how your Sims can enhance their Entrepreneurship skill:
Sims can boost their Entrepreneurship skill by performing the following actions:
- Odd Jobs
- Freelance Careers
- Publish books
- Selling art to collectors or art galleries
- Sell items on Trendi
- Join the Video Game Streamer side hustle
- Join the Simfluencer side hustle
- Selling food at a food stand (Home Chef Hustle DLC)
- Licensing songs (Get Famous DLC)
- Crafting and selling items on Plopsy (Nifty Knitting DLC)
Odd Jobs
Alternative jobs, or odd jobs, refer to various temporary assignments that Sims can take on the internet to earn additional income. These tasks span a wide spectrum, including delivering food and maintaining cleanliness at different establishments.
As a gamer, I can discover quirky jobs for my Sims using their in-game phone under the Business app. By tapping “Discover Odd Jobs,” I get to pick from a list of options that pop up. These odd jobs are like little adventures, and when it’s time for my Sim to go, they’ll step away and return once the job is done.
Freelance Careers
Independent careers provide a steady flow of assignments instead of random jobs. To become part of such a career, Sims can utilize a computer, phone, or the Career Panel located at the screen’s base, by choosing “Join Career.
In the Eco Lifestyle and Paranormal Stuff DLC expansions, Sims have the opportunity to pursue diverse careers such as freelance artists, writers, programmers, photographers, crafters, or even paranormal investigators. Once they’ve picked a profession, Sims can look for job opportunities using their smartphone or computer by simply checking for gigs.
Gigs can be canceled at any time, but Sims won’t earn any Entrepreneur points if they cancel.
