Initially, Hunters believed they merely needed to capture the Ant Queen and free the area, but they underestimated a much greater danger, which was indeed the Ant King.

In the emergence of the Ant King, only Jinwoo managed to withstand him, leaving other powerful Japanese and Korean Hunters swiftly overpowered. Though the Ant King demonstrated strength, he was no contest for Jinwoo. However, it’s crucial to mention that the Ant King is far from being the most formidable adversary in “Solo Leveling”. In fact, Season 3 introduces a creature called Kamish, the ruler of the first S-Rank Gate, who makes the Ant King seem feeble by comparison. Notably, Kamish has already been defeated in the existing timeline but will undoubtedly be featured in “Solo Leveling” Season 3.
