The newest update for MLB The Show 25 has been released! This update, known as Update 9, includes several gameplay adjustments and cosmetic improvements across all the game’s modes to enhance your baseball simulation experience. It fixes some gameplay bugs, introduces a notable change to the popular Diamond Dynasty mode, and offers plenty more exciting features!

On March 18, San Diego Studio’s 20th major release in the ongoing series, MLB The Show 25, officially debuted, making it exclusive to current-generation consoles for the first time. Since its launch, this flagship baseball game has been receiving regular updates, with approximately one update per week on average. One of the recent updates for MLB The Show 25 brought about significant changes to both Road to the Show and Diamond Dynasty, modes that have also seen modifications in the latest patch.

On April 22nd, I’m thrilled about the arrival of Update 9 for MLB The Show 25! This update addresses a multitude of issues across several modes like Diamond Dynasty, Road to the Show, and Franchise. For instance, the difficulty issue in Road to the Show has been rectified, ensuring opponents don’t suddenly play at a higher level than the one selected.

In Franchise mode, budgeting has been improved significantly with prorated player salaries being applied post mid-season trades, making the financial aspect more realistic.

Moreover, the guess pitch feature has been fine-tuned, which should be particularly useful when dealing with those pesky submarine and sidearm pitchers in MLB The Show 25.

Update 9 for MLB The Show 25 brings a significant adjustment to Diamond Dynasty, boosting the maximum buy/sell order limit for player items with an OVR between 90-05 from 500,000 to 750,000. This change expands opportunities for high-value trading and flipping of sought-after cards, seemingly aimed at mirroring the true market value of elite-tier cards. However, this rise in limit necessitates players to accumulate larger quantities of Stubs. Fortunately, there are multiple strategies available for MLB The Show 25 players to rack up a substantial amount of Stubs.

The future of MLB The Show 25 seems promising with favorable early responses and continuous enhancements for a better user experience. However, one platform has yet to be revealed in its plans. Although some games have been confirmed, the Nintendo Switch 2’s sports collection still lacks a few heavyweights like MLB The Show, EA Sports College Football, and Forza. With its enhanced hardware compared to its predecessor, fans eagerly anticipate if MLB The Show 25 will be added to the Nintendo Switch 2 later this year.
