20 years after its debut, World of Warcraft continues to thrive. However, players were becoming disgruntled due to the repetitive rewards from the Great Vault. Fortunately, Blizzard has stepped in with a solution to this problem. The Great Vault in World of Warcraft is a weekly chest that players receive for vanquishing foes during raids, conquering dungeons at higher levels, and engaging in world-wide activities, offering them additional gear as a reward.
Ever since it first launched in 2004, this MMO (Massively Multiplayer Online) game has consistently released ten significant expansion packs, with the most recent one being “The War Within,” set for release in 2024. Two additional expansions, titled “Midnight” and “The Last Titan,” have also been announced, tentatively scheduled to drop in 2026 and 2027 at the earliest. Known as World of Warcraft, this game is undoubtedly one of the best fantasy titles from the 2000s. However, not only has it remained popular throughout that time, but it continues to thrive in 2025 due to Blizzard’s dedicated management efforts.
In the latest content update for World of Warcraft (version 11.1.5), players now have access to the Nightfall scenario, Cooldown Manager UI feature, Winds of Mysterious Fortune event, and other exciting content. However, this patch has also introduced an issue regarding the Great Vault. Earlier, on the Blizzard forum, developers acknowledged a problem with the Great Vault in the update, causing some players to receive the same trinket twice consecutively. Fortunately, Blizzard announced that they will be implementing a fix during the scheduled realm restarts on April 23 at 7 am PDT. The developer further stated, “Upon restart, we anticipate the Vault to offer more diverse loot, as initially intended.
Blizzard Confirms Fix for World of Warcraft’s Great Vault Duplicate Bug
- Fix for Repeated Rewards in Great Vault 11.1.5 on April 23 at 7 am PDT
2025 feels like a perfect year for me to dive into the world of Azeroth, as World of Warcraft offers an unyielding and captivating experience. Though there are some nagging problems that mar the rewarding gameplay, Blizzard seems determined to address them head-on. I’ve seen many fellow adventurers holding off on their journey until the issues are resolved, but some have already embarked on their quests, fearful of missing out on just rewards. One player even shared on a forum that they didn’t receive any duplicate items, but found some rewards less than satisfying.
In simpler terms, the release date for the 20th Anniversary Edition realms in World of Warcraft Classic has been revealed as Phase 4. This update will bring Zul’Gurub, Dragons of Nightmare, and Silithid challenges, with the Silithid challenges serving as a prelude to the Gates of Ahn’Qiraj in Phase 5. Furthermore, players can engage in Tier 5 dungeon sets and take part in the Stranglethorn Fishing Extravaganza, an event open to all fans.
