The new digital venture, Lushfoil, extends beyond being merely a photography simulator. It offers players a chance to traverse diverse landscapes, such as an icy valley in Iceland and a deserted Chinese village. Most of the time at each locale is dedicated to trekking through wilderness in search of stunning photographic moments, but there are additional modes of discovery available.
In certain maps of the Lushfoil Photography Sim, players can uncover a bicycle to swiftly traverse the wilderness, or a boat to sail across water and explore hitherto unexplored regions. During an interview with Game Rant, developer Matt Newell delved into the multiple modes of transportation available for navigating through the game’s diverse settings, and the exciting prospects they bring about.
Exploring the Landscape
The innovative transportation concepts and captivating visuals were key factors that caught Annapurna Interactive’s interest, leading them to agree to publish Lushfoil. By offering various modes of transport, players can explore every corner of each map fully and appreciate all the unique features it has to offer. During an interview, Newell explained why these different methods of getting around were essential components of the game.
The main purpose here is to provide passionate photographers with additional opportunities to explore their artistic side in photography, all while enjoying an entertaining mode of transportation. Additionally, these items come with rewards within the game, like utilizing a boat to discover new locations.
With a boat at their disposal, players are able to traverse expanses of water that would be inaccessible by foot. This enables them to capture the stunning vistas of nature, while also providing an enjoyable and entertaining experience.
Finding New Photo Opportunities With Drones
In each location, there are numerous activities for players to engage in, and Newell has shown great ingenuity in designing these tasks. Players can not only walk, cycle, or sail to accomplish their objectives but also employ a drone to survey from above and access areas that would otherwise be unreachable. Newell mentioned that the drone serves as a means for players to complete photographic tasks that would have been difficult otherwise. Additionally, it offers an exciting way to discover and appreciate the breathtaking vistas of nature while trying out various camera settings.
