This post contains spoilers for One Piece.
Summary
- The Holy Knights, introduced in the Elbaf arc, are incredibly powerful, with diverse abilities.
- Key members like Garling and Shamrock are considered Yonko level in strength.
- Gunko, Sommers, and Killingham possess unique and potent Devil Fruit abilities, making them formidable opponents.
In the world of “One Piece”, the revered Holy Knights, or God’s Knights as some call them, stand out as the top-tier combatants. Ever since their debut, it has become clear that these warriors are a notch above the rest, capable of managing any challenge independently.
Throughout the Elbaf storyline, the Holy Knights have played a significant role, given that they serve as the main adversaries of this arc. In the latest issues, the Holy Knights have revealed their abilities, sparking much discussion within the One Piece fan community. Many fans are wondering if every member of the Holy Knights possesses power on par with the Yonko.
The Power Of The Holy Knights
So far, five members of the Holy Knights have been revealed. These are:
- Figarland Garling
- Figarland Shamrock
- Gunko
- Shepherd Sommers
- Rimoshifu Killingham
From where I stand, Figarland Garling held the prestigious position of the Supreme Commander, a role that made every member accountable to him. Known far and wide as the valiant protector of the Celestial Dragons, it’s clear to see why he is regarded as the most powerful amongst the Holy Knights.
Shamrock serves as the leader of the Holy Knights, ranking second only to Garling in terms of authority. Yet, if Garling receives a promotion, it could imply that Shamrock wields complete control over the Holy Knights. In terms of combat prowess, Shamrock is among the top soldiers serving under the World Government, with few rivals matching his skill. He possesses an exceptional mastery of Haki and is highly proficient in its use. Shamrock’s sword, Cerberus, is one of a kind – it consumed a Devil Fruit and has the ability to transform into the mythical three-headed dog of the same name. This sword follows Shamrock’s commands without hesitation.
Gunko, Sommers, And Killingham Are Insanely Overpowered

Beyond the Figarland Family duo, three other Holy Knights have gained public attention, namely Gunko, Sommers, and Killingham. Analyzing these three reveals their impressive strength. Gunko possesses the Aro Aro no Mi, a Devil Fruit that amplifies her attack power. She can also shoot arrows to immobilize opponents by pinning them down or redirect attacks, making it challenging to hurt her. Furthermore, it appears that Gunko and other Holy Knights are immune to death and can recover from any form of injury.
You dare call me a human…? We are Gods!! —Gunko
Sommers possesses the Iba Iba no Mi, a Devil Fruit of the Paramecia class that grants him the ability to grow thorny vines whenever he desires. These vines can also become invisible, posing a danger to anyone unaware. The discomfort or harm caused by these vines is said to be influenced by Sommers’ emotional bond with the victim; if the connection is strong, the pain could potentially prove lethal. However, it remains uncertain whether this statement refers to a metaphorical or literal interpretation. During his confrontation with Jaguar Saul, Sommers demonstrated the ability to render the vines visible at will.
Killingham’s Devil Fruit Is The Strongest
The Killingham’s Kirin-model Devil Fruit, a Ryu Ryu no Mi, is undeniably the most powerful Devil Fruit unveiled in Elbaf. This Mythical Zoan-type fruit grants him two exceptional abilities: the capability to induce sleep in others and then manifest their dreams. He employed these powers to assault the inhabitants of Elbaf, causing the entire nation to erupt into chaos.
Are The Holy Knights Yonko Level?

Following their display of power, it’s fair to suggest that the Holy Knights are almost on par with the Yonko in strength. Undeniably, Shamrock and Garling possess a power level similar to the Yonko. The rest of them aren’t far behind either. A crucial aspect will be how Haki fares against these titans.
To date, the Holy Knights have not encountered an opponent wielding potent Haki, but when they do, viewers will gain a clearer understanding of their abilities. Given the Holy Knights’ ongoing assault on Elbaf, it’s only a matter of time before they run into individuals like Luffy and Gaban, who are exceptionally skilled in employing Haki.
