They can then enhance their chosen weapons at the Altar of Enchantment in the Mages Guild by adding special traits to them.

Currently, you can find a significantly stronger version of the Akaviri Katana, which lets players strike at ethereal foes such as Wisps, Specters, and Ghosts – it’s called the Ancient Akaviri Katana. Players will have two opportunities to obtain these weapons throughout the main questline. The first opportunity arises when they are making their way towards Sancre Tor, an ancient ruin nestled in the Jerall Mountains, during the Blood of the Divines quest.
