The progression boost provided by World of Warcraft will be active from May 13 until Patch 11.2 is released, which is several months away in the future.
On April 22nd, an update titled Patch 11.1.5 was rolled out for “World of Warcraft,” incorporating new features such as the Nightfall scenario, Cooldown Manager, and the Winds of Mysterious Fortune leveling event. This update signifies the start of two updates between Patch 11.1, Undermine(d), and Patch 11.2, implying that players are approximately one-third through Season 2 of “The War Within.
In support of their fans until the end of the season, Blizzard Entertainment has unveiled a fresh, new event called Turbo Boost. Designed to accelerate character advancement and gear acquisition, this update extends Hero and Mythic gear upgrade tracks to eight levels. Moreover, equipment from Mythic+ dungeons will drop twice as frequently for Warbound and Equipped gear. Delves will also yield increased rewards, progress for Delver’s Journey, and experience points for Brann. The event kicks off May 13 and will run until the end of Season 2.
World of Warcraft: The War Within Season 2 Turbo Boost Details
- Hero and Myth gear upgrade tracks extended to 8 (was 6)
- Mythic+ drop rates for Warband until Equipped gear doubled
- Cap for Crests lifted
- Valorstones transferrable across Warband
- Delves provide bonus Crests, Valorstones, Delver’s Journey progress, and experience for Brann
- Spark of Fortune crafted gear can be further improved with Augmentation Matricies
- New weekly quest to earn Puzzling Cartel Chips
- Defeat four Liberation of Undermine bosses to earn one Puzzling Cartel Chip
- Three Puzzling Cartel Chips can purchase one piece of raid gear, six maximum per character
- Heroic and Mythic gear requires associated bosses to be defeated on that difficulty
Apart from the regular gameplay, there’s a fresh weekly challenge where players can acquire raid equipment. By overcoming four bosses originating from the Liberation of Undermine, enthusiasts can accumulate Puzzling Cartel Chips. Once you gather three chips, take them to Wrexxle in Dornogal near the Great Vault. With these, you can purchase any single piece of raid equipment. However, securing Heroic or Mythic gear necessitates that you’ve previously defeated the boss at the corresponding difficulty level. Each character can amass six Puzzling Cartel Chips, enabling them to acquire a total of two pieces of equipment.
Fans are pleased with the changes being rolled out but find it unexpectedly early in the season. Furthermore, the limitations on Heroic and Mythic gear using Puzzling Cartel Chips has left many discontented, particularly when considering its comparison to past systems like Puzzling Cartel Dinars from Shadowlands or Antique Bronze Bullions from WoW: Dragonflight.
Interestingly, the latest update for World of Warcraft Patch 11.1.5 didn’t show up on its expected release day, and several elements of this update have been missing or buggy for weeks now. The arrival of working content has left some players disappointed, as they’ve also expressed concerns about Turbo Boost. So far, the reception to Patch 11.1.5 hasn’t been favorable among many gamers. However, let’s hope that World of Warcraft can rectify these issues in upcoming updates and improve overall satisfaction.
