This adjustment impacts several aspects including the amount of gold you earn, the nature and potency of Enchanted items, the worth of Gems and marketable goods, and even the likelihood of discovering unique, level-specific gear within those containers as you progress.
Regardless of whether it seems like your opponents keep pace with your growth in power, know that advancing your character level will grant you access to fresh Spells, enhanced gear choices, and tactics for handling foes more effectively.
How Does Equipment Scale In Oblivion Remastered?

As a dedicated player, I’ve noticed that the equipment in this game tends to follow a pattern of about three levels for each set of enchantments. From Level 1 to 3, you’ll find similar low-level enchantments on weapons. But at Level 4, these enchantments receive an upgrade, and by Level 7, they upgrade again, with this trend continuing as I progress through the game.
- For example, Umbra will deal 10 damage if you get it at Level 1, but 16 if you find it at a higher level
- As another example, the Shadowhunt Bow will deal 3 points of Health and Magicka damage on strike if you get it at Level 1 (in addition to other on-hit effects). But if you pick it up at Level 5, it will deal 7 points of Health and Magicka damage instead.
In the remastered version of “Oblivion,” the game adjusts the world and enemy difficulty according to each individual level (per-level basis), while equipment levels are grouped in bands.
