As you step into Blue Prince for the first time, you might find yourself taken aback by the presence of a basement, as it wasn’t immediately apparent from your tour. However, delving into this hidden part of the house will reveal many solutions to questions that arise throughout the story, but you should be prepared for a lengthy journey to reach there.

To reach Basement Room 46, you’re in for some tricky challenges ahead. Keep an eye out for hidden levers spread across the house, as they’re key to unlocking the Antechamber first. Good luck!

We’ll guide you on locating the levers needed to open the Antechamber and provide instructions for reaching the basement from there. And don’t worry, it won’t be too difficult; all you need is some careful thought before proceeding.

How To Unlock The Antechamber?

Three levers can be found sporadically in specific areas of the house, usually in the Secret Garden, Greenhouse, or Great Hall. Be sure to observe these places when exploring.

  • Secret Garden – This is a tough room to find since it will only appear after finding the Secret Garden Key and finding the right spot to use it. You can use it in various rooms on the eastmost and westmost sides of the house. You’ll have to solve the puzzle here to gain access to the lever.
  • Greenhouse – For this one you’ll want to move to the eastmost side of the house and work your way north from there. You’ll need to find the broken lever if you’re hoping to use this Antechamber lever.
  • Great Hall – While this does spawn randomly, you have a greater chance of getting it to spawn if you use a Silver Key. You’ll need to either guess randomly which room contains the lever or open all the doors. You can also spawn a Foyer which will make all the doors unlocked.

To obtain the basement key, it is essential that you open the Antechamber and enter before the end of the current day since the doors will be closed as the new day begins.

Since you’ve opened the Antechamber, your next step is to empty the Fountain to access the basement. Fortunately, once you’ve drained the Fountain, it will stay that way for the following day.

How To Drain The Fountain?

Draining the Fountain means creating both the Pool Room and the Pump Room for your design today. The Pool Room will include the Pump Room in your plans. After you enter the Pump Room, you’ll encounter another challenge: adjusting the pump settings.

Near the second water tank, there’s a diagram that provides a guide on how to drain the fountain. Although it’s somewhat intricate, let me clarify each pump’s function for you.

  • Pump 1 (leftmost) – You’ll use this to drain the attached tank
  • Pump 2 (center) – This one will pump water into the two tanks. Switch the set tank from the pipe on the backside of the tanks
  • Pump 3 (rightmost) – Same thing as Pump 1 except for the other tank
  • Pump 4 (backside) – This is mostly for the extra you might need to move out of the first tank

To effectively empty the Fountain, first, locate and choose it from the Pump Control Panel. Then, simply turn the switches upward on each pump, causing the majority of the water to flow out.

You must transfer your water supply to the greenhouse, kitchen, and pool, but remember, there are always alternative solutions. At the very least, you should relocate a total of four units from the fountain to various destinations.

To prevent excessive movement of water, make sure to employ Pump 4 for draining all the water from the tanks instead.

In simple terms, there’s a lot of back-and-forth motion in a place with plenty of water. Just relax and avoid focusing too much on errors; all you need to do is flip the switch in the opposite direction to correct it.

Since you’ve emptied the Fountain, you can rest assured that there’s no more concern about it in future days, as this specific area remains unchanged and the Fountain stays perpetually open.

After obtaining the key for the basement and emptying the Fountain, you will be one step nearer to uncovering the mysteries hidden within Room 46 of this peculiar mansion.
