Developer SNK has released an update for the recently launched game, “Fatal Fury: City of Wolves”, to tackle various problems and glitches. Players can now download this latest version and jump right into playing “Fatal Fury: City of Wolves”, the much-anticipated new addition to the series.
The legendary “Fatal Fury” series, known for numerous games, hasn’t had a fresh installment in more than two decades. Alongside other iconic titles such as “Street Fighter”, “Fatal Fury” has made a substantial impact on the gaming world with its distinctive characters and gameplay mechanics, shaping the genre in various ways. The franchise has continued to thrive and retain a dedicated fanbase, yet they’ve been eagerly anticipating a new game. Finally, on April 24, “City of the Wolves”, the latest addition to the series, was launched for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Since its release, the developers have already issued a minor update to refine certain aspects of the game.
As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to share that the latest patch for “Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves,” version 1.1.3, has arrived! It’s addressing numerous bugs and minor issues, making our gaming experience even smoother. One of my favorite characters, Terry Bogard, got some well-deserved updates to his DLC costume that was a bonus for pre-orders.
Moreover, the annoying bug with Cosmic Strike Geyser is finally fixed! Previously, this move wouldn’t drain the power gauge in both Arcade and Smart Style modes. And guess what? The Burning Wave move’s properties in Arcade mode now match those of its default costume version, ensuring a consistent gaming experience for us all!
In the game “Fatal Fury: City of Wolves”, character Marco Rodriguez noticed alterations in the Arcade Style, specifically he can no longer swiftly transition a Far Heavy Kick (Feint) from a Combo Attack sequence. The delay in canceling Salvatore Ganacci’s Magical Step was adjusted, and a bug that impeded Fight Dirty from efficiently halting enemy movement has been rectified – this correction also encompasses the Smart Style.
As a dedicated fan, I’m excited to share that the developer has acknowledged some ongoing issues in our beloved game, Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, and they’re working hard to resolve them. These include instances where guard canceling might cause the opponent to freeze, incorrect replays that don’t accurately depict match events, and problems leading to crashes. The developer kindly asks us, the players, to update the game from the home menu and provide any feedback we may have.
While the game has been widely appreciated, there have been requests from the player community, and SNK has announced some new features in response. Specifically, they’ve hinted at updates for the solo adventure Episodes of South Town, which are expected to roll out in June-July 2025.
