Subscribers of PlayStation Plus Extra can mark June 17 on their calendars, as that’s the day FBC: Firebreak will be added to the service. The PlayStation Plus Extra is Sony’s middle-tier subscription for their PlayStation Plus service. With a PlayStation Plus Extra subscription, subscribers get access to everything available through PS Plus Essential, along with a rotating selection of games for both PS4 and PS5.
The key attractions for subscribing to PS Plus Essential are the monthly free games and online multiplayer access. If you’re looking for a wider range of games immediately, you might want to consider PS Plus Extra. While most games offered through PS Plus Extra are older titles, they occasionally add day one releases as well.
It appears that a new first-person shooter game called “FBC: Firebreak,” developed by Remedy Entertainment, will be added to PS Plus Extra on June 17. This is the day it officially launches. For those who aren’t familiar, “FBC: Firebreak” is a cooperative game that takes place after the events of “Control.” It involves fighting enemies within the Oldest House. FBC: Firebreak is Coming to PS Plus Extra on June 17
For 2025, PS Plus Extra didn’t limit the first-day games to just Firebreak (FBC). Alongside FBC, both segments of Lost Records: Bloom & Rage, and Blue Prince were also added on day one. Blue Prince, a highly-acclaimed first-person puzzle game and one of the top-rated new releases of the year, joined the PS Plus Extra library. Its addition made an excellent impact, so we’re hoping that Firebreak continues this positive momentum for PS Plus Extra.
Another game besides “FBC: Firebreak” is expected to be added to the day one PS Plus Extra lineup this summer. Specifically, the game “Abiotic Factor” is set to join PS Plus Extra at its release date, although the exact release date has yet to be revealed as of now. As summer quickly approaches, it’s likely that we will learn more about when “Abiotic Factor” will make its debut on PS Plus Extra in the near future.
FBC: Firebreak will also be a day one Xbox Game Pass game when it releases on June 17.
It’s noteworthy that those who subscribe to the top-tier PS Plus Premium will additionally gain access to the game “FBC: Firebreak” as well as all other day one PS Plus Extra titles. The PS Plus Premium offers the most extensive service, encompassing all features of the Essential and Extra tiers, plus a selection of retro games that are exclusive to this tier.
