As a fanatic of Disney Dreamlight Valley, I’m thrilled about the latest Wonderland Whimsy update! It brings Alice and the enigmatic Cheshire Cat into our magical Valley. For now, I can immerse myself in all Alice’s friendship quests, but I need to meet their prerequisites first. The level 4 friendship quest, “Mimsy Were the Borogoves,” is a treasure hunt where I follow clues from a peculiar poem she finds. However, figuring out these clues might make me feel like I’ve tumbled down the rabbit hole, with a series of mind-bending riddles to decipher!
If you’re unsure about locating something hidden close to a spot of sun-drenched relaxation, discovering a cave adorned with enigmatic glows, or tracking down a Jabberwock in its wooden abode, this Mimsy Were the Borogoves quest guide will illuminate your path. Successfully finishing the quest will earn you 880 Friendship Points with Alice as a bonus.
How to Complete Mimsy Were the Borogoves in Disney Dreamlight Valley (Alice Level 4 Friendship Quest)
How To Start Mimsy Were the Borogoves
To begin playing “Mimsy Were the Borogoves” in Disney Dreamlight Valley, first, you have to unlock Alice and complete her second Friendship Quest titled “Books with No Pictures”. Additionally, make sure to meet all the prerequisites for the “Mimsy Were the Borogoves” quest.
- Reach Level 4 Friendship with Alice
- Progress in Merlin‘s quests.
- Progress with Anna.
- Unlock the Forest of Valor biome.
Once you’ve completed all the preceding steps, initiate “Mimsy Were the Borogoves” by engaging with Alice and selecting the dialogue option related to “Mimsy Were the Borogoves.” Alice will inform you that she has stumbled upon a cryptic poem detailing a quest for hidden treasure. However, it’s peculiar as it appears to be penned in her own handwriting.
Where to Find Something Buried Near A Place of Sunbaked Pleasure
The initial hint in Mimsy Were the Borogoves is to uncover something hidden close to “an area of sun-drenched leisure.” Although the Sunlit Plateau may come to mind, you should instead journey towards Radiant Shore, where you can excavate a bottle in the sand with your Regal Spade, which surprisingly contains a Verses in a Bottle. Speak to Alice to pass her the bottle and receive the following poetic clue.
How to Find A Dark Cavern with Mystic Lights
Continue by seeking out a cave adorned with enigmatic lights, often referred to as the “Mystical Cave” situated at “Dazzle Beach.” To crack this puzzle, venture into this mysterious cavern and water the False Mome Roths that resemble clusters of vibrant flowers, using your Royal Watering can, while making your way down.
Retrieve a “Poem in a Bottle” from the orange buoy submerged at the cave’s base, utilizing your “Royal Fishing Rod”. Afterward, engage in conversation with Alice regarding the discovered poem.
How to Find A Jabberwock In Its House of Bark In A Wooded Yard
The next hint is to locate the elusive Jabberwock within a ‘wooden enclosure’ in a ‘lumberyard.’ You can discover this mythical creature concealed within a log northwest of the Forest of Courage, as indicated on the map above. Here, you notice a pair of ominous-looking yellow eyes staring out from the log. Approach the Jabberwock and engage with Alice, who suspects you might be able to scare off the Jabberwock using magical candles from Wonderland. But first, you’ll need to gather various materials to craft them.
Gather Materials To Craft and Place Wonderland Candles
To make Wonderland Candles, you’ll need to gather the following materials:
- x3 Tinkering Parts – crafted from Iron Ore and Coal Ore at a crafting station.
- x6 Glass – crafting from x5 Sand and x1 Coal Ore at a crafting station (to make x1 Glass).
- x9 Coal Ore – found by mining rocks in any biome.
- x10 Red Bell Flower – found growing on the ground in the Forest of Valor.
- x12 Yellow Daisy – found growing in the Peaceful Meadow.
In Disney Dreamlight Valley, both Red Bell Flowers and Yellow Daisies regenerate quickly compared to other flowers. Specifically, Yellow Daisies typically return after about 20 minutes, with up to around six of them appearing at once. The Red Bell Flowers also follow a similar pattern, making it relatively quick to gather them all.
After collecting all necessary items, create the Wonderland Candles at a crafting station, which can be located under the Furniture section. Navigate back to Jabberwock’s spot in the Forest of Valor and arrange the candles around the designated log using the Alice icon from the Furniture menu. Feel free to position the candles according to your preference as long as they are near the log. This action will make the Jabberwock disappear, leaving behind a small wooden chest within the log.
As a gamer, I navigated towards the chest, interacted with it to move it into my inventory. After that, I chatted with Alice once more, handing over the Kaleidoscope and wrapping up the Mimsy Were the Borogoves quest. With this treasure trail unraveled, Alice hinted that when we meet again, she might reveal why she hid the Kaleidoscope in the first place, potentially unfolding a deeper mystery.
