How to Upgrade Bikes in Days Gone

The Action-Adventure Game Known as Days Gone Remastered is set in Oregon following a nationwide zombie apocalypse. Players join Deacon on his motorcycle journey across the map, battling zombies called Freaks and probing into a mysterious government agency named Nero.

In this game, Deacon roams around on his motorcycle. This speedy vehicle allows for swift escapes and maneuvering through the winding paths of Oregon’s forests with greater ease. Gamers can enhance and personalize their bike to boost its capabilities and create a distinctive look. This guide offers insights into the numerous bike customization choices, such as skins and accessories, found in Days Gone Remastered.

How to Change Bike Skins in Days Gone Remastered

Initially, characters start off riding a personally modified bike by Deacon, but shortly after, it gets stolen and dismantled. This leaves them back at ground zero with a standard bike. Navigating tough terrains becomes much harder due to the bike’s smaller fuel capacity, lower durability, lack of speed enhancement, and unattractive looks. However, players can improve their ride by interacting with Manny, the mechanic, once they reach Copeland’s camp. If they successfully deliver a Drug Stash to Copeland, they will gain a substantial increase in relationship points, enabling them to customize their bike earlier in the game.

Once you finish the main mission called “Price on Your Head,” players gain the ability to personalize their motorcycles. In the initial zone, there are two major factions Deacon is affiliated with: Camp Copeland, which specializes in bike modifications, and Camp Tucker, focusing primarily on weapon enhancements.

“As a bike enthusiast, I’ve discovered that you can customize the look of your ride! The camp mechanic offers unique bike skins, which are complete paint jobs that transform not just the headlight housing, but also the fenders and gas tanks. There are 15 free Custom Accents available right from the start, while an additional 31 can be unlocked by completing main story missions.”

In Days Gone Remastered, the visual modifications to your motorcycle, or “bike skins,” serve an aesthetic purpose only. However, you can enhance your motorcycle’s hardware at the game’s mechanics station, which you can access by completing missions, gathering loot, and engaging with camps. As you do these activities, you accumulate trust points and progress in your relationship with the camp inhabitants. There are three distinct categories for bike customization in Days Gone Remastered:

  • Performance
  • Visual
  • Paint

At Camp Mechanics, they carry out repairs and fill up bikes in exchange for Credits. However, players have the option to discover free fuel and discarded auto parts to perform their own repairs as well.

Every piece of equipment comes in different premium versions. As the player advances through camps, more opportunities for equipment enhancements arise. Additionally, players will unveil various bicycle choices as they explore new areas within the game, including Iron Mike’s Camp and Diamond Lake Camp.
