In simple terms, Pokemon GO has unveiled the perks of the May GO Pass. This pass represents an additional feature in the monetization strategy of Pokemon GO, often offering fresh means for players to gather extra benefits like tickets and boxes.
Following the introduction of the Tour Pass for GO Tour: Unova, Niantic introduced a similar reward mechanism and debuted the first GO Pass in April. In contrast to the Power-Up Ticket, which is also released monthly and incentivizes players for specific tasks, the GO Pass grants rewards for participating in almost any in-game action. For the month of April, the primary reward for players was an opportunity to encounter Xerneas, one of the Legendaries from Pokemon X and Y. With the announcement of the second GO pass, players will have another rare Pokemon to capture.
Starting Tuesday, May 6th at 10:00 a.m., until June 3rd at the same time, local time, Pokemon GO is offering the May GO Pass. In certain areas, trainers will receive this pass for free. To advance to higher levels, they must accomplish tasks to get GO Points. As they level up, they’ll unlock rewards like Stardust, XP, Poke Balls, Candy, and an encounter with Yveltal – the powerful Pokemon from Kalos, which is similar to Xerneas’ counterpart. If you’d like extra perks, you can buy the GO Pass Deluxe from the Pokemon GO Web Store, which includes all the free track rewards, plus additional items such as Candy XL, Premium Battle Passes, Incense, more encounters, Lure Modules, a Lucky Trinket, and other premium goodies.

Trainers can expect rewards when they reach significant milestones:
1. A longer duration for the Daily Incense Adventure (tier 1), which is doubled.
2. Extra Experience Points (XP) and Stardust from Research Breakthrough rewards (tier 2).

Remember that the GO Pass is currently being tested, and not all players have access to it yet. However, Niantic intends to broaden this rewards system in the future. In the meantime, keep an eye out for upcoming events like Crown Clash, which will introduce Kingambit into Pokemon GO, as well as an event focusing on baby Pokemon, happening in May.
Or:
The GO Pass is still undergoing testing and isn’t accessible to all players currently, but Niantic aims to expand this rewards system eventually. During the waiting period, look forward to upcoming events such as Crown Clash introducing Kingambit to Pokemon GO and an event showcasing baby Pokemon in May.
