Turtle Beach is set to launch two fresh Xbox contenders, the Rematch Core Wired Controller and the Afterglow Wave Wired Controller, enriching their existing lineup. These new, economical Turtle Beach gaming controllers are slated to hit the market soon, offering cost-effective alternatives for gamers.
Known for producing a range of gaming accessories, Turtle Beach consistently introduces new products designed for gamers. They offer headsets, keyboards, mice, controllers, among other items. Notably, their latest innovation is the Turtle Beach Stealth Pivot Controller, equipped with a distinctive modular switching mechanism. Looking ahead to 2025, they plan to expand their product line with a couple of officially licensed controllers compatible with both Xbox and PC systems.
According to Turtle Beach’s official site, the initial model is called the Afterglow Wave Wired Controller, retailing for $49.99. It boasts Hall Effect 3-position adjustable triggers, customizable lighting settings for a personalized look, and two programmable back buttons – a potential advantage for FPS game enthusiasts on Xbox and PC. Additional features include audio controls and the option to choose from five colors: black, white, pink, blue, and gray.

Turtle Beach has introduced a less expensive alternative called the Rematch Core Wired Controller, priced at $29.99. Although it doesn’t have all the bells and whistles of the higher-priced Afterglow, it comes equipped with dual rumble motors, impulse triggers, and audio controls for in-game communication management. Just like the Afterglow, this controller offers five color combinations, each adopting a camouflage theme.
Rematch Core Wired Controller
As a gamer eagerly awaiting the arrival of my new controllers, I’ve noticed they’re both up for pre-order on their respective websites. From what I gather, these gamepads are slated to ship out on May 18th, which means my wait might not be much longer! What excites me most is that these controllers are compatible with the Turtle Beach Control Hub Companion App, opening up a world of customization possibilities.
It’s important to mention that Turtle Beach isn’t the sole company developing new Xbox controllers. Reports even suggest Microsoft might be crafting as many as three fresh gamepads. Although the final design of these potential controllers is yet unknown, you might want to explore the newly launched Afterglow Wave Wired Controller and Rematch Core Wired Controller by Turtle Beach if you’re looking for a new one in the meantime.
