In the remastered version of “Oblivion,” players have multiple factions they can be part of, some major and others minor. One such minor faction is the Order of the Virtuous Blood, which allows you to become a Vampire Hunter. By successfully returning trophies (vampires), you’ll receive rewards. Yet, before being accepted into this faction, you must first complete a quest that requires you to uncover the secret vampiric identity of one of its members.
How to Start the Order of the Virtuous Blood Quest in Oblivion Remastered
In the game Oblivion Remastered, players can kick off the Order of the Virtuous Blood mission by showing up at the Imperial City Temple District. Once there, take a moment to relax and then Ralsa Norvalo will pay you a visit, requesting assistance with an immediate issue. Subsequently, you’ll be directed to Seridur’s House in the same district, where you’ll learn about the Order of the Virtuous Blood faction for the first time.
As a keen member of our faction, I invite you to embark on an intriguing quest: investigate the rumors surrounding Ronald Jenseric, a man suspected of being a vampire. To get started, make your way to Ronald’s Cabin, conveniently located east of the Imperial City, and search the dining table for any clues hidden amongst his books.
Should You Kill Roland Jenseric or Spare Him?

After conversing with Ronald, he will make it clear that the genuine vampire is Seridur. In this interaction, you’ll find yourself deciding whether to trust Ronald’s tale and let him off the hook, or challenge his story and administer immediate punishment.
- If players choose to eliminate Ronald, the quest will end once players return to Seridur to inform him about his death.
- If players choose to spare Ronald, the quest will continue and will allow players to join the faction down the line.
Joining the Order of the Virtuous Blood Faction
If players choose the peaceful route, Ronald will suggest they speak with him further about Seridur. He’ll direct them to the merchant located in the First Edition shop within the Merchant’s district of Imperial City. Upon their visit, this merchant will share that Seridur often frequents the Memorial Cave, and it is believed that some of his cherished ones might be interred there.
Players journey towards Memorial Cave and delve into its shadowy depths, where they’ll come across Seridur. This encounter will culminate in a battle with him, which, if successful, empowers the players to announce his defeat to Ronald. Overjoyed by this news, Ronald can now step out of his home’s boundaries, liberated from the terror that Seridur once imposed upon him.
Next, make your way to Ronald at Seridur’s House’s basement once more. He’s about to assume leadership of the Order of the Virtuous Blood and will induct you as an honorary member. Additionally, as a reward for finishing the Order of the Virtuous Blood quest in Oblivion Remastered, you’ll get the Ring of Sunfire.
Visit Ronald in Seridur’s House basement again. He’s now leading the Order of the Virtuous Blood and will welcome you as an honorary member. As a bonus for completing the Order of the Virtuous Blood quest in Oblivion Remastered, you’ll obtain the Ring of Sunfire.
