Summary
- Xur is back in Destiny 2 with new gear for players to explore for a limited time.
- For exotic armor, Xur has Antaeus Wards, Aeon Soul, and Khepri’s Sting.
- Xur’s exotic weapons include a new Hawkmoon, Black Talon, Vigilance Wing, and Wavesplitter.
Once more, Xur has graced Destiny 2 with his presence, bringing fresh exotic and legendary items for players to explore temporarily. Fans are on the brink of a major unveiling, as we approach the special livestream event for Destiny 2: The Edge of Fate expansion. This grand reveal will shed light on Destiny 2’s future direction, marking the start of the Codenames: Frontier chapter, which will span the next year.
Simultaneously, Bungie has been hinting at what’s to come soon, offering a sneak peek at the upcoming major Destiny 2 gameplay revision. Some elements of this update are scheduled for release on May 6th, during which several exotic armor and weapons will undergo modifications. In particular, the legendary pulse rifle Redrix’s Estoc is being readjusted again since it hasn’t quite reached the desired level of balance according to the studio’s standards.
On weekends now, you can find the mysterious trader Xur stocking up new items for Destiny 2 enthusiasts. Here’s where to locate him this time, along with updates on his exotic cipher quest and a rundown of all the exotic and legendary gear he’s offering from May 2, 2025.
Where is Xur?
Now, you can find Xur residing permanently within the Bazaar sector of The Tower, which means you won’t have to search for him on weekends anymore.

Because the Marketplace is sandwiched between two rapid travel spots, players have the freedom to select either one as their entry point. Traverse to the spot where Ikora and Hawthorne usually socialize, then seek out the Ramen Shop situated towards the rear. With the shop in front of you, the secretive hideout of Xur lies to your right.
Destiny 2 Class Armor and Exotic Cipher
Each week, Xur performs his regular tasks which include offering quests, exotics, and legendary equipment. These weekly tasks are crucial not only to obtain a second fated engram but also to get legacy exotic gear from the Tower’s kiosk. Players can collect a fresh cipher by accomplishing strikes or winning in Crucible or Gambit matches. Earn extra points by playing with your clan members or taking on more difficult activities.
Xur’s Exotic Armor

Aeon Soul – Warlock gauntlets
Exotic Perks:
- Sect of Force temporarily increases player reload speed and weapon swap speed after rapid precision hits. Taking down a champion or boss also gives nearby fireteam members a burst of grenade and melee energy.
- Sect of Vigor gives the player class energy when teammates die, then gains full class energy after reviving. When nearby players cast their super, allies gain a burst of healing.
- Sect of Insight has a chance to drop an orb of power after precision weapon takedowns. When using a finisher on an elite enemy, special ammo is dropped. Using a finisher on a boss or miniboss, heavy ammo drops instead.
While this artifact might boast impressive statistics, it’s not an essential piece that Warlocks should always keep on hand as a necessity. It serves well as a supportive item, but it’s not something they absolutely need to acquire.
Stat Values (67 Total):
- Mobility +2
- Resilience +12
- Recovery +21
- Discipline +10
- Intellect +10
- Strength +12

Khepri’s Sting – Hunter gauntlets
Exotic Perk:
- – Punching someone with full melee energy will instantly cast Smoke Bomb. Your Smoke Bombs deal increased damage, regenerate more quickly when stuck to a surface, and grant you Truesight after damaging a target.
Typically, this item is excellent, particularly for Player versus Player engagements, but its stats are slightly lower than expected. However, if you don’t already own it, it might still be worth picking up.
Stat Values (62 Total):
- Mobility +11
- Resilience +12
- Recovery +10
- Discipline +12
- Intellect +2
- Strength +15

Antaeus Wards – Titan leg armor
Exotic Perk:
- – While sliding with full class ability energy, you gain a frontal shield that reflects incoming damage. After reflecting damage, your class ability energy is depleted based on the amount of damage reflected.
As a gamer, I’ve come across an intriguing character who heavily depends on certain situations to dodge incoming attacks by mirroring them back. However, there are other characters out there that seem to offer more versatile gameplay.
Stat Values (67 total):
- Mobility +13
- Resilience +11
- Recovery +11
- Discipline +12
- Intellect +10
- Strength +10

Hawkmoon – Hand Cannon

Vigilance Wing – Pulse Rifle
- – This weapon fires a 5-round burst. When a nearby ally is killed, gain health regeneration and increased movement speed.
- – Improved weapon performance and greatly increased recovery when its wielder is the last living member of a fireteam.

- – Laser damage has three power levels that oscillate while the trigger is held down.
- – Collecting an Orb of Power grants a period of maximum power that starts with an automatic reload. Sustained fire in this mode suppresses targets.
