Readers familiar with “My Hero Academia” are well aware that although Deku brought an end to the final conflict in the narrative, his personal circumstances didn’t exactly have a happy ending. In the grand finale of “My Hero Academia”, Deku demonstrated remarkable prowess, but unfortunately lost his Quirk and found himself weakened significantly. Given that he no longer possessed a Quirk, Deku was unable to fulfill his dream of becoming a hero. Instead, he took on the role of a teacher at UA High School.

Following the eight-year gap in My Hero Academia, Deku quickly resumed his role among the Pro Heroes once more. Post this time jump, Deku was given a Pro Hero Suit, reminiscent of All Might’s worn during his final fight against All For One. Notably, Deku’s suit is significantly stronger and improved compared to its predecessor.

Initially, Bakugo found himself in contests against various Heroes, determined to excel at his profession and increase his strength concurrently. However, fans are aware that what fueled his relentless ambition was the absence of competitive sparring with Deku. A significant factor behind his intense motivation was the desire to outshine Deko. After Deku lost his Quirk, Bakugo came perilously close to losing his drive as well.

Initially, Bakugo appeared at number 5 on the Hero Billboard, but later, his unruly conduct led him to slide significantly in the rankings. Lately, it’s been confirmed that he currently stands at number 15.

In the newest My Hero Academia supplement, Ultra Age, there’s a one-off story that solidifies for fans that Bakugo Katsuki has advanced his position yet again. Currently, Bakugo holds the title of Number 5 Hero, demonstrating significant growth in his abilities.

Primarily, there’s another confrontation brewing between him and Deku. Moreover, it’s been made clear that Deku stands as the Number 4 Hero at the moment, surpassing Bakugo despite not having a Quirk. This could very well be the reason behind Bakugo’s recent surge in performance – he’s been driven by Deku’s rapid rise in rankings.

I can’t help but feel exhilarated as I watch Bakugo go head-to-head with Deku once more! Though he trails behind at the moment, I have no doubt that he’ll give it his all to catch up in the future. The momentum is on his side, and I believe it’s just a matter of time before we witness him surpassing Deku.
