Summary
- Ubisoft seems to have teased two more games for the Switch 2.
- It’s been hinted that Assassin’s Creed Mirage and Rainbow Six Siege could be coming to the platform.
- Star Wars Outlaws is confirmed for Switch 2, while Assassin’s Creed Shadows is rumored as well.
It appears that two additional Ubisoft games might be coming to the Nintendo Switch 2. Historically, Ubisoft has been a staunch supporter of Nintendo, releasing exclusive games on their consoles and debuting titles on platforms like the Wii, 3DS, Wii U, and Switch on their release days. It’s expected that Ubisoft will continue this partnership with the Switch 2, although not immediately at launch.
Upon the launch of the Nintendo Switch 2, there will be a variety of opening games including “Mario Kart World”, “Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour”, “Survival Kids”, and “Yakuza 0: Director’s Cut” among others. However, Ubisoft won’t have any offerings when the Switch 2 debuts on June 5. It has been confirmed that “Star Wars Outlaws” will be available for the Switch 2 starting September 4. Now it appears that two more games from Ubisoft may potentially arrive on Nintendo’s upcoming next-generation hybrid console/handheld device.
According to Stealth40k and Nintendo Life, Ubisoft Brazil recently polled fans about which games they’d like to see on the potential Nintendo Switch 2, using an image featuring Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Star Wars Outlaws, Assassin’s Creed Mirage, and Rainbow Six Siege. It’s already been confirmed that Star Wars Outlaws is coming to the Nintendo Switch 2, while Assassin’s Creed Shadows has been leaked through an age rating. There have been whispers that AC Mirage and Rainbow Six Siege could also be destined for the Switch 2, and this fan poll appears to add significant weight to those rumors.
Stepping into the gaming world here, let me tell you about two fantastic titles that have left a lasting impression on me. First up, Assassin’s Creed Mirage, released in 2023, harkens back to the roots of the series by taking a step away from the RPG-heavy games like Origins, Odyssey, Valhalla, and Shadows. Instead, it delivers an old-school vibe that fans of the original games will surely appreciate.
Now, if you’re into competitive multiplayer games, I can’t recommend enough checking out Rainbow Six Siege. Originally launching in 2015, this tactical shooter has been one of the most popular titles of the last decade and continues to thrive even today.
In essence, Rainbow Six Siege is about to undergo a significant transformation. It’s been officially revealed that starting in June, Rainbow Six Siege will be available for free, along with improved visuals and the innovative 6v6 Dual Front game mode titled Rainbow Six Siege X. This upcoming edition of Rainbow Six Siege could serve as an exciting launch title for the rumored Switch 2, but it’s important to note that at this point, a port of the game has not been confirmed yet.
