All Solo Leveling Season 3 Updates
- Producers want fans to support the anime
- There is no official news
Before the finale of Solo Leveling Season 2, there were rumors that a third season was already being produced, but these turned out to be false. Despite this, the official accounts connected to Solo Leveling have yet to reveal any substantial information about a potential third season, leaving fans anxious and eager for updates on whether it will be made and when it might be released.
In a Reddit Q&A session, two producers involved in the anime production mentioned the potential third season. Their comments suggested that fan support is crucial for the season’s realization, likening it to the Spirit Bomb attack where energy from fans is needed. It appears that the studio has yet to begin work on the new season, with decision-makers still deliberating on the matter. Additionally, they mentioned that a typical episode requires around 10 months of production time, with some taking up to 12 months.
In simpler terms, Atsushi Kaneko emphasizes that working closely with the original authors was crucial. Additionally, it was essential to consider what scenes would be emotionally powerful or impactful for our audience. Through continuous discussions with the director, producers, and scriptwriters, we aimed to refine the story arcs and moments that would have the greatest resonance.
It was reported that the release of Solo Leveling Season 3 might be delayed due to the director being occupied with different tasks. Given the quality of work they’ve demonstrated so far, it seems reasonable that the anime’s production has temporarily stopped.
From Aleks Le, the voice actor of Sung Jinwoo, we’ve received some encouraging news. During his recent live stream, he discussed details about the upcoming third season, which many fans have interpreted as a promising sign.
How Many Seasons Will The Solo Leveling Anime Have?
There Will Be One More Season Of The Anime

The popular series Solo Leveling has completed two seasons thus far, with both being well-received by audiences. These initial seasons covered a total of 14 story arcs out of a possible 22, meaning there are still eight arcs left unexplored. Considering the current rate of adaptation, it’s plausible that Studio A-1 Pictures could cover all eight arcs in Season 3, but this may not be the best decision.
The upcoming storylines are packed with action and contain more chapters per arc, making it less challenging for A-1 Pictures to find enough material. However, releasing five arcs in a single season might not be advisable due to the increased volume of content. Consequently, the third season may only adapt approximately half of the remaining arcs, bringing the total number of adapted arcs to 19.
Rather than releasing a fourth season, Studio A-1 Pictures could transform the remaining content into a feature-length movie. This film will encompass the climactic battle and its aftermath, providing fans with an uninterrupted ending to Solo Leveling. However, the trade-off is that they’ll have to wait longer for the movie, as anime films often require more time and resources to produce, potentially releasing in late 2028 or even 2029.
Already in 2024, A-1 Pictures unveiled a combined movie featuring material from the first two episodes of season two. This production turned out to be quite popular among viewers. Therefore, the studio has gained valuable insights into what appeals to its audience. However, the release of the Solo Leveling film hinges upon the completion of season 3, set for 2026 if all goes as planned. For now, fans can only stay tuned for updates from official channels.
