This piece of writing includes plot revelations from the forthcoming eighth season of My Hero Academia, which is also referred to as MHA The Final Season.
This year marks the release of the highly-anticipated final season of “My Hero Academia,” where viewers can witness the Final War arc unfold on screen, capturing the raw emotions that this climactic storyline demands. Excitingly, Crunchyroll has confirmed its global distribution, making it accessible to stream “My Hero Academia Season 8” in numerous countries and territories upon its release.
In the original manga, “The Final War” storyline unfolds from Chapters 343 to 424. The anime has begun adapting this arc from Episode 143 (Season 7), and the upcoming season will focus on the thrilling aspects of the war, including the climactic battle against All For One, as well as the consequences that follow the end of the war.
Preparing For The Final Battle
As a bystander, I’ve noticed that the narrative we’re following leads us to the climactic “Final War” arc, which precedes the epilogue if one chooses to view it as such. This arc primarily revolves around a conflict between the Pro-Heroes, an array of characters including numerous students from U.A. High School’s Class 1-A, and the series’ principal antagonist, Tomura Shigaraki, who is closely linked with All For One.
Shigaraki is about to finish incorporating the All For One power into his own body, and he’s devising his ultimate scheme to seize Izuku Midoriya’s One For All Quirk for world conquest. His strategy involves manipulating Yuga Aoyama to lead Deku to a trap where he will be attacked.
The Plan To Counter Shigaraki/All For One

Luckily, Midoriya uncovers the plot, leading to Aoyama being interrogated by the heroes as they understand he’s also unwilling participant. This sparks a thought in Eraser Head, potentially providing a chance for him to ultimately vanquish Shigaraki.
The “counter-strategy” splits into two key segments, yet it remains straightforward to grasp. Since Shigaraki possesses the power to discern lies, Shinsho employs his Mind Control Quirk, making Aoyama communicate with Shigaraki unknowingly bypassing Shigaraki’s lie detection skill. The aim is to employ Yuga as bait to lead Shigaraki towards a specific destination.
Subsequently, part two involves organizing an opposing force, headed by All Might, aimed at managing the Villains individually. This tactic allows for the prevention of their combined actions and mutual assistance. Consequently, they can surprise Shigaraki following a trap set for him.
At the U.A. High School, a transformation occurs, turning it into a floating stronghold, specifically designed to counteract Shigaraki’s Decay power. This very location becomes the stage for the ultimate showdown, following Shigaraki’s teleportation into the school.
The Final Battle Against All For One
In true anticipation, the climactic showdown turns out to be a grueling test of might and will. To my surprise, the “side character” Bakugo, whom Shigaraki had underestimated, plays a pivotal role in this final fight, narrowly escaping the jaws of death – a defining moment in his personal journey. Naturally, he doesn’t stand alone; the titans All Might and All For One engage in an epic duel, while the entire Counter Force is instrumental in our battle for victory.
In order to ensure his ultimate defeat, it takes the collaborative effort of everyone, which seems appropriate given that All For One was a self-centered villain. While Bakugo’s Howitzer Impact: Cluster attack plays a crucial role in subduing him, it wouldn’t be feasible to completely defeat him without the combined might of All Might, Endeavor, Aizawa’s Erasure Quirk, Deku’s final maneuvers, and the unified resistance. Once All For One is vanquished, Tomura’s body disintegrates into dust as his existence dissipates.
Who Was All For One In My Hero Academia?
In the early days, long before the main events unfolded, All For One was already born. His mother, unaware that she was pregnant and carrying a unique ability (Spearlike Bones), which would later be known as Quirks, didn’t recognize it at the time – it was approximately a year before the Luminescent Baby incident. It is quite possible that she was the first individual in the My Hero Academia universe to possess Meta Abilities in human history.
Despite carrying twins, tragically she passed away during childbirth. The elder twin had a unique ability to absorb others’ abilities, which unfortunately left little sustenance for his younger sibling. This elder brother swiftly acquired his mother’s power by consuming her body. Remarkably, the younger brother, Yoichi, lacked any Quirk and consistently disagreed with his older brother’s perspective on a society structured around Quirks.
As the siblings matured, the darker nature of the elder brother emerged more distinctly. Adopting the alias All For One, he started amassing followers under his control, working covertly, and, unsurprisingly, he would seize Quirks whenever the opportunity arose. Conversely, the younger brother was the initial bearer of One For All, and subsequent wielders consistently tried to thwart All For One.
If it’s freedom you desire, then submit to me, my brethren.
— All For One
In the future, All For One ultimately brought up Tomura Shigaraki, who eventually rose as the chief of the League of Villains and aimed to destroy All Might. Later on, Tomura acquired the power known as All For One Quirk when All For One was employing a replica, but All For One made an attempt to combine the two bodies. However, Tomura managed to reclaim his independence (until the final stages of the Final War).
My Hero Academia is available to stream on Crunchyroll, subbed and dubbed in many languages.
