Since the Tournament of Power concluded in the Dragon Ball Super anime, the series has been on an extended break from television screens. While the manga has continued the storyline following that event, there have been hints about the return of the anime, but nothing definitive has been announced yet. Though Daima was a pleasant addition to the franchise, fans are still eagerly anticipating the second season of Dragon Ball Super.
The outlook for the anime is still unclear and full of possibilities, but the closing remarks from the narrator in the first season have sparked optimism among fans about a potential second season. If this does materialize, followers of the series can expect an exceptional experience as Dragon Ball Super Season 2 is anticipated to be the most impressive part of the franchise based on what the manga has revealed thus far.
Incredible Story Arcs Await In The Second Season Of Super
Amazing Stories Are On The Horizon
Upcoming Story Arcs | Broly Arc, Moro Arc, Granolah the Survivor Arc, Super Hero Arc |
---|---|
Notable New Characters | Broly, Moro, Granolah, Gamma 1&2 |
Ever since the Tournament of Power concluded and Dragon Ball Super’s first season came to an end, fans have been eagerly awaiting more of the series’ storyline. The manga did pick up where the show left off, but before it could fully continue, the remarkable Broly movie was released in 2018, introducing the fan-adored villain as a more compassionate character who eventually joined forces with the heroes. Similar to the Battle of Gods and Resurrection F films, this movie is expected to be adapted into an arc for season 2.
I’m stoked to get even stronger!
Furthermore, the primary storylines in the manga revolve around the Moro and Granolah the Survivor sagas, each offering compelling and deeply emotional narratives that seamlessly integrate with the larger plot. The Moro saga centers on a chilling new adversary that requires our heroes to employ all their resources to vanquish, while the Granolah saga reveals the consequences of the Saiyans’ past actions as they come back to torment Goku and Vegeta. Both stories are exceptional and rank among the most cherished in the entire Dragon Ball Super series.
Amazing New Transformations And Power-Ups
The Strongest States That Characters Have Reached
After the Tournament of Power demonstrated our heroes battling characters from across the multiverse with immense power, it became evident that the challenges ahead would only intensify. To counteract this, our heroes have discovered incredible new abilities and transformations that are bound to cause a stir when they’re eventually animated and broadcasted. While some of these techniques have been glimpsed before, the standout ones like Vegeta’s Ultra Ego and Frieza’s Black form will undoubtedly make waves.
A God of Destruction taught me that power derived solely from instinct is unbounded!
I’m absolutely thrilled about this shift in the series! Instead of focusing solely on Goku, these innovative forms and techniques are raising the power levels of all characters, creating an equal playing field. This is a fantastic move, as it provides each character with an opportunity to showcase their newfound powers, demonstrating just how far they’ve come since we last saw them.
Some Of The Best Character Moments In The Franchise
Many Character Arcs Reach Their Peak
An idea that beautifully complements the last one, the second series of Super offers some of the finest moments for several characters’ storylines. A prime illustration of this is Vegeta in the Granolah arc, where he confronts the wicked man he once was when the atrocities committed by the Saiyans on Planet Cereal are graphically displayed before him. Despite his efforts to revert back to that persona so as to maximize his Ultra Ego, he ultimately fails.
Apologies, Lord Beerus… I couldn’t revert to the callous, unfeeling man I once was.
This illustrates how significantly he has evolved throughout the years, and it’s a truth that applies to many other characters too. While Goku’s character development may not be as profound, it reveals him grappling with his Saiyan roots, which are revealed to him through Bardock’s actions from long ago. This was another fantastic addition to the narrative, as Bardock is introduced via a flashback, where he demonstrates the noble aspects of the Saiyan race. The manga after the Tournament of Power contains numerous scenes like this.
The Best Action In The Entirety Of The Dragon Ball Franchise
Amazing Fights In Season 2
In essence, Dragon Ball is all about action and combat, and that’s exactly what fans can expect in the forthcoming story arcs. The action promised here is said to be some of the finest in the series, as it showcases both protagonists and antagonists unveiling extraordinary transformations or abilities to outmatch their adversaries. In response, these adversaries need to adjust and leverage their own powers to have a fighting chance.
Meet Black Frieza. Achieving this form took plenty of toil, I’ll have you know.
In this series, the fights are exceptionally distinct from traditional Dragon Ball battles, featuring clashes against adversaries capable of merging with entire planets or pursuits traversing the entire cosmos. The action is both diverse and breathtaking, ensuring viewers remain captivated throughout.
Dragon Ball can be streamed on Crunchyroll.
