- Fans not excited for Fahkumram’s return due to past grievances, with updates aimed to address player feedback.
Today at EVO Japan, I was thrilled to learn that Bandai Namco Entertainment is unveiling a new character for Tekken 8 this coming spring! To top it off, they also gave us a sneak peek of what we can expect from the game’s summer updates.
Regrettably, instead of delighting players, the changes introduced in Season 2 update have unfortunately intensified the frustrations already present within the game, making the playing experience less enjoyable for developers.
Tekken 8’s Next DLC Character And Major Updates Planned For May And June Revealed
At the gathering, Bandai Namco revealed that the next downloadable content (DLC) character for Tekken 8 will be the towering kickboxer Fahkumram. For those who may not be familiar, Fahkumram is a character from Tekken 7 that has gained quite a bit of animosity, so the news that he’ll be joining the game didn’t exactly spark joy among players.
In addition to this news, Bandai Namco has also shared details about significant changes coming to the game. The initial update is set to begin this very week.

It’s clear that there are many collaborative projects in the pipeline, but I think it’s the balance adjustments that will really grab people’s attention. After the Season 2 update, Bandai Namco faced criticism from the community because the changes made the gameplay more offensive-heavy. Even though some of these changes have been reverted, the developers have lost a lot of goodwill. Unfortunately, the arrival of Fahkumram hasn’t helped the team regain favor with players.
Few Tekken players seem fond of Fahkumram because of his peculiar appearance and overpowered state at launch. If given a vote for which character they’d like to see return as DLC in Tekken 8, it’s likely that Fahkumram wouldn’t make the list due to his lack of popularity.
No matter what, Tekken 8 fans can expect the new character to drop sometime this summer, so make sure you’re prepared!
