In Destiny 2, Hush is among the top-tier legendary PvE combat bows, with much of its acclaim owing to its unique perk set. It was already exceptional when initially launched, and since its reappearance in Season 24, it has only grown stronger.
If you’re seeking an effective, reliable weapon for tackling challenging content within Destiny 2, a highly-regarded god roll for the Hush should undoubtedly be on your farming priority list. Here are some top perk combinations you can aim for with this bow, along with some information explaining why it’s so impressive.

PvE Roll
As a gamer, I’ve noticed that Hush’s performance in PvE can greatly fluctuate depending on its fourth column perk. When it’s equipped with Incandescent, it transforms into an outstanding area-of-effect weapon, complementing Solar builds quite well. On the other hand, when I use Explosive Head, it becomes a decent choice for taking down yellow-bar/Major enemies. The arrow explosions from this perk often cause them to stumble, making combat more manageable.
Archer’s Gambit is a middle ground between the two perks mentioned. It substantially reduces the time it takes to draw your bow after landing a hip-fire Precision shot, enabling you to swiftly eliminate several red-bar/Minor enemies consecutively or kill a Major enemy faster than typical.
PvP Roll
In terms of Player vs Player (PvP), a mix of perks from the third and fourth columns could be beneficial for you. The combination of Opening Shot and Stable Aim enhances your shooting accuracy from a standard position. At the same time, Archer’s Gambit and Quickdraw can aid you in maintaining longer killstreaks by providing you with faster reload speeds.
Keep these things in mind depending on what perks you get for your Hush:
- Opening Shot provides a stronger bonus to aim assist and range than Hip-Fire Grip, but it goes on a 3-second cooldown after every activation.
- Hip-Fire Grip is always active, so long as you fire from the hip. Combine this with Freehand Grip for even more hip-fire accuracy.
- Archer’s Gambit provides a stronger draw time reduction (60% vs 37.5%) than Successful Warm-Up, but it can only last for 8 seconds at most.
- Successful Warm-Up has a base duration of 6 seconds (compared to 4 seconds for Archer’s Gambit), and kills while the buff is active adds 4 more seconds to the buff’s duration, up to a maximum of 20 seconds.
Where to Get Hush?
In Gambit, players can acquire a Precision Frame bow named Hush. This bow can be obtained in several ways: either by deciphering an Engram or by buying a random roll from the Drifter’s Focused Decoding menu at the cost of 3 Gambit Engrams and a substantial amount of Glimmer.
Why Choose Hush?
Bows equipped with the specified abilities are scarce, particularly if you’re an enthusiast of bows within Destiny 2. You’ll be delighted to discover that Hush has a swift and gratifying feel when used. Its firepower and potential area-of-effect damage are impressive for a Legendary weapon, even though it won’t quite equal Exotic bows in certain aspects. Nevertheless, it’s always pleasing to possess a weapon that offers versatility.
If you’re not keen on playing Gambit, then the Non-Denouement bow from the Salvation’s Edge raid is nearly equal in performance. Alternatively, Pre-Astyanax IV is another suitable option for PvE players, but it can only be obtained as a Legacy Nightfall weapon from Commander Zavala.
