2024 proved to be a varied year for supporters of the “My Hero Academia” series, as it brought them a long-awaited conclusion that filled them with joy, but unfortunately meant no further content from Horikoshi. Since then, fans have been eagerly waiting for additional material, and fortunately, May 2025 provided just that with the release of the final “My Hero Academia” fanbook titled “My Hero Academia” Ultra Age.

This book is packed with fascinating details, covering characters, skills, and even insights into the creator Horikoshi. Additionally, it unveils the latest hero rankings in Japan, which have quite a few surprises; notably, one Hero has overtaken both Deku and Bakugo to claim the third position.

They Hold The 4th and 5th Spot Respectively

As the conclusion of the “My Hero Academia” series approached, fans eagerly anticipated which heroes would appear on the Billboard Chart, particularly those cherished characters who had recently graduated and embarked on their heroic careers.

Initially, Deku wasn’t listed in the rankings because he had lost his hero status following the loss of his powers. Contrastingly, Bakugo ranked fourth among heroes at the beginning. Over time, though, his poor demeanor led him to plummet down the list, ending up at number 15.

After Deku donned his new attire, he experienced a significant jump in the hero rankings, moving him up to the fourth position. Meanwhile, Bakugo follows closely behind in fifth place. Despite their ongoing rivalry, neither character managed to break into the top three ranks, leaving fans pleasantly surprised.

Mt. Lady Is The Hero That Surpassed Both Of Them

Mount Lady Holds The 3rd Spot

Fans weren’t greatly surprised by the identity of the top two characters, as they’ve maintained these positions for some time. Currently, Mirio holds the top position, with Shoto Todoroki in second place.

Among fans, it’s Mt. Lady, Yu Takeyama, who has taken many by surprise as the third best hero in the latest rankings of “My Hero Academia”. Although Mt. Lady isn’t typically a main character, she has seized some notable opportunities to excel.

It took fans by surprise to see her in such a prominent position, even above Deku and Bakugo, whom they consider the main characters. Over time, it seems she’s significantly advanced, but some fans still find this placement debatable. However, the creator Horikoshi believes she’s in the right place for now, suggesting that she has reached her potential, grown incredibly strong, or possibly even undergone Quirk Reawakening.
