In Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon, Shadow of the Horns serves as an initial primary mission. Your primary task here is to discover a means to penetrate the sanctum of the All-Mother’s Temple, but be warned, this isn’t a simple undertaking.

Even though there’s a path leading to the Mother Goddess’ Sanctuary, please remember that you can’t just casually stroll inside. Trying to do so would be seen as trespassing, and the guards might respond by attacking.

In simpler terms, engage in conversation with Vrann and follow her dialogue until she expresses her intention to present a gift to the Horns of the South. When she seeks your counsel, suggest that giving a unique potion could be an excellent choice.

Completing this task will trigger the ‘Acts of Kindness’ side mission. In this quest, your goal is to gather the necessary items for a potion: specifically, you need to find 5 Wolfsbane, 1 Moonshine, and 3 Iron Tooth.

How to Find the Potion Ingredients for Vrann

Previously, I noted that Vrann requires three essential components to brew the potion for the Horns of the South. In the ensuing passages, let’s delve into methods for procuring each ingredient.

How to Find Wolfsbane

Among the three ingredients, it’s likely the most straightforward to obtain Wolfsbane, as you can simply buy it from Jann Heber who has a stall in the central marketplace of the Horns of the South main town square.

Jann is located on the northern part of the town, specifically at “Jann’s Residence.” He sells Wolfsbane for 4 Gold each, which means for this mission, it will set you back 20 Gold. Don’t forget, you’ll need to buy a total of 5 Wolfsbanes.

If you find yourself lacking gold and can’t purchase Wolfsbane, consider selling a few of your belongings to Jann or seek out some bandit groups to plunder for resources instead.

How to Find Moonshine

Next up, let’s try locating some Moonshine for Vrann. Regrettably, there isn’t a specific method to find Moonshine; instead, it essentially comes down to luck or chance.

I often struck gold while looting bandit hideouts, checking their crates and cracking open their safes in search of Moonshine. Typically, you’d find yourself with Wine, Ale, or Whiskey, but every now and then, a cache would hold Moonshine instead.

Following a thorough search of outposts and acquisition of the Moonshine, it’s now time to track down the Red Caps for the Iron Tooth.

How to Find Iron Tooth

Players can discover Iron Tooth by defeating Red Cap foes and searching their fallen bodies. Each defeated Red Cap yields an Iron Tooth, so you’ll need to take down just three in this area for the completion of the Acts of Kindness mission.

Red Caps can be easily spotted in the northern regions of the initial map, as they stand out distinctively. Characterized by their red caps and troll-like physical traits, they are quite noticeable.

Attached is an image showing the exact location where I found a group of Red Caps.

Gather all necessary items, then pass them on to Vrann for her to concoct the potion. Afterward, take the finished potion back to Fearghas in the Southern Horns and deliver it to him.

Fearghas is going to present you with a bag filled with fish as a token of gratitude for you, so please return it to Vrann and hand it over to her. Once this is done, Vrann grants you formal permission to enter the All-Mother’s Temple, eliminating any trespassing concerns.
