Summary

  • Days Gone Remastered‘s newest update brings improved graphics and accessibility features for PC and PS5.
  • Updates for Days Gone and its remastered version include performance fixes, UI improvements, and gameplay improvements.
  • Bend Studio continues improving Days Gone despite canceling a game as a service project.

Bend Studio, in collaboration with Sony, has revealed a new upgrade for the enhanced edition of “Days Gone”. This latest upgrade can be obtained on the PlayStation 5 in the near future, and it’s already downloadable for the PC version of “Days Gone”.

In a post-apocalyptic Oregon, two years following the onset of a zombie apocalypse, the game Days Gone debuted on the PS4 in 2019. It was subsequently adapted for PC in 2021, and a revamped version, titled Days Gone Remastered, has been launched for the PS5 more recently. This fresh edition boasts enhanced graphics and innovative accessibility options, such as selecting from 11 subtitle colors, customizable High Contrast Mode, and additional features. Regrettably, Days Gone Remastered is exclusive to the PS5; however, the original Days Gone received a graphic overhaul during the release of its remastered counterpart on PC.

Currently, Bend Studio has revealed two upgrades for the game “Days Gone”. The 1.10 update for PC version of the game, which focuses on open-world zombie action, is now live and addresses several performance issues as well as audio glitches. Moreover, the “Days Gone: Horde Assault” DLC has undergone minor adjustments to rectify some horde navigation problems in specific zones, and its user interface has been enhanced. Additional modifications include updates for localization and slight alterations to gameplay mechanics such as decreasing the player’s bike-riding resistance power.

The updated version 1.025.809 for the PlayStation 5’s Days Gone Remastered hasn’t been launched yet, although it has been announced. This update is expected to mirror the PC update, enhancing the game’s graphics and performance, addressing earlier glitches that led to crashes. The developers also mentioned that it would optimize the PS5 Pro’s performance, and refine the UI of Horde Assault, similar to the PC update, as part of its improvements.

Following the May 2025 release of updates for “Days Gone Remastered”, a fresh Balanced visual mode was introduced. This enhancement offers a balance between smooth gameplay and high-quality graphics, boosts performance, and resolves crashes to enhance the gaming experience as a whole.

It’s great to observe Bend Studio consistently enhancing “Days Gone.” Regrettably, Bend Studio had to scrap a game-as-a-service project this year, which was speculated to be a military shooter. Thus, it might take some time before players can get their hands on an entirely fresh game from the studio. For now, it’s expected that these updates will maintain the interest of fans.
