In the latest update for “Guilty Gear Strive”, a fresh character named Unika makes her debut as a DLC addition. This recent patch for “Guilty Gear Strive” also tackles bugs and minor tweaks on certain characters, while introducing a new tool to aid players in enhancing their skills.
In 2021, Arc System Works launched “Guilty Ggear Strive”, and since then, the game has been consistently updated with new downloadable characters. The game is now in its fourth season, having introduced two fresh characters – Dizzy, who is Ky Kiske’s spouse, joined the roster in October 2024, while Venom made his “Guilty Gear Strive” debut in March of this year. Recently, “Guilty Gear Strive” has received another update, offering new content for enthusiasts of the widely-loved fighting game series.
As a gamer diving into the thrilling world of Guilty Gear Strive, I’m pumped about update 1.46! This new addition brings in Unika, a character shrouded in mystery, who debuted in the anime spin-off, Guilty Gear Strive: Dual Rulers. To get my hands on her, I can either grab her as individual DLC or invest in the Season 4 Pass that includes all Season 4 characters, stages, and bonus colors. Unika’s gameplay is a beast, with her knack for forcing opponents into errors through relentless pressure sequences, and her unique trait, Arbalest, which amps up her special moves. On top of Unika, the update has dropped “Carp Diem,” her musical theme, themed avatar and gallery items, and GG World-themed goodies, offering more insight into the backstories of Guilty Gear Strive’s fighters. Can’t wait to test out this fresh content!
As a gamer diving into the latest update of Guilty Gear Strive (version 1.46), I’m thrilled about the Frame Data Display option now available! This feature is accessible in Training, Combo Search, Combo Create, and Sparring modes, making it an enormous addition. It breaks down the timing and effectiveness of every character’s moves in frames, allowing me to hone my skills with each character more efficiently and elevate my gameplay in fighting games. Furthermore, this update comes packed with numerous general fixes and tweaks for characters like Nagoriyuki, A.B.A., Slayer, and Dizzy.
With Unika now included in the lineup of Guilty Gear Strive, gamers eagerly anticipate the arrival of Lucy, the upcoming Season 4 character. This highly anticipated addition brings an exciting crossover between Arc System Works’ game and the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime. Once Lucy makes her debut, preparations for Season 5 will begin, although details about it are still scarce. However, a prior leak of Guilty Gear Strive has hinted at what players may encounter in the next season.

- Updated the battle version from Ver.4.04 to Ver.4.05.
- Adjustments:
- 【All Throw Moves】
- When Roman Cancel is input directly before the last hit of a throw hits, a Red Roman Cancel now activates after the final hit.
- This makes it less likely for a Purple Roman Cancel to activate when the Roman Cancel is unintentionally input before the final hit connects.
- 【All Air Throw Moves】
- For characters who move backwards after the final hit of their throw hits, they no longer move backwards if the action is interrupted.
- This makes it easier to follow up after performing a Roman Cancel.
- Issue Fixes:
- Universal Mechanics:
- Fixed an issue causing disparity in the timing when the slow-down effect was applied when canceling a normal or special move with Red, Purple, or Blue Roman Cancel if not performed at the soonest possible timing.
- Fixed an issue making it possible to use Psych Burst during the Wall Break sequence when activated under certain conditions.
- Nagoriyuki:
- Fixed an issue sometimes causing Nagoriyuki to move during the superflash when Blood Rage ends under certain conditions.
- A.B.A:
- Fixed an issue sometimes causing A.B.A to move during the superflash when Jealous Rage ends under certain conditions.
- Slayer:
- Fixed an issue sometimes causing momentum to apply to a special move even when the startup of his dash was not canceled into a jump.
- Dizzy:
- Fixed an error making it possible for the opponent to tech when landing an un-techable knockdown if the opponent lands at the same time Ice Field disappears. As a result of this fix, the active time of Ice Field has been extended by 1 frame.
