In Disney Dreamlight Valley, similar to other exploration games, players are equipped with a variety of tools to help them navigate their environment. Known as the Royal Tools, these items play a crucial role in the gameplay experience. With the Royal Fishing Rod, players can fish, capture moments using the Royal Phone for photography, mine using the Royal Pickaxe, tend crops utilizing the Royal Watering Can, and excavate resources with the Royal Shovel. Over time, as the game has grown through DLC, these tools have been updated and expanded as well.

In the current version of Disney Dreamlight Valley, there are two expansion packs available: A Rift in Time and Storybook Vale. These expansions have added new characters and environments to Disney Dreamlight Valley, but they’ve also provided players with new tools, such as the Royal Tool. The A Rift in Time expansion introduced the Royal Hourglass and the Storybook Vale expansion introduced the Royal Net. It is important to note that these tools are exclusive to the DLC content, as they are used for gameplay within the expansions: the Royal Hourglass is utilized for detecting and extracting Mist, while the Royal Net is employed for capturing Snippets. Players who only own Disney Dreamlight Valley’s base game will not have access to these tools, but with more potential Royal Tools coming to Disney Dreamlight Valley, it seems logical that Gameloft would take advantage of one of Disney’s most renowned tools if one of their most famous IPs were to join the popular simulation game.

Star Wars Should Head to DDV As an Expansion Pass

With the latest Wonderland Whimsy update, Star Wars-themed items are now available in Disney Dreamlight Valley’s Premium Shop. This marks the initial integration of Star Wars content within Disney Dreamlight Valley. Previously, the game has primarily focused on incorporating characters from Walt Disney Animation and Pixar Studios. However, the developer, Gameloft, has drawn inspiration for the game’s various furnishings, attire, and decorations from other Disney properties such as the Disney parks and Disney Channel Original Movies. The new Star Wars items have been well-received by players; however, some players of Disney Dreamlight Valley are cautious about introducing Star Wars and Marvel Cinematic Universe characters into the game in a character capacity.

If Gameloft and Disney plan on incorporating “Star Wars” into “Disney Dreamlight Valley,” it seems like a smart decision to offer this as downloadable content (DLC) exclusively, allowing players the option to include “Star Wars” elements in their game rather than making it mandatory for everyone. This move would also facilitate the easy addition of a Lightsaber Royal Tool.

What a Royal Lightsaber Could Look Like

It’s worth noting that Royal Tools play a significant role in the Disney Dreamlight Valley game, however, this is only applicable for DLC-related content. For instance, the Expansion Pass comes with unique tools like the Hourglass and Net, which are essential for advancing the narratives of their respective DLC expansions. Consequently, it’s possible that the Royal Lightsaber might be utilized to interact with certain obstacles that players need to overcome. Given that the Lightsaber is designed to resemble a sword, perhaps this new tool could be employed to cut down a menacing force gradually encroaching upon the Valley.

Moving forward, it falls upon Gameloft to determine the central conflict for the Star Wars Expansion Pack in Disney Dreamlight Valley. One possibility could be the return of Palpatine, this time within the Valley’s realm. However, if deemed too intense for a child-friendly game, an alternative might involve Stormtroopers invading the Valley, or players choosing between the Light and Dark sides with their lightsaber color as a reflection of their choice. Lastly, a Royal Lightsaber would be a fitting enhancement for the Disney Dreamlight Valley‘s Star Wars expansion pack, no matter how Gameloft decides to incorporate it.
