Where to find the Old Pocketwatch in Elden Ring Nightreign

In the thrilling world of Elden Ring: Nightreign, I’ve come to learn that the enigmatic Old Pocketwatch is a rare treasure dropped by none other than Gladius, the Beast of Night. This formidable foe is encountered during the challenging Tricephalos Expedition, marking one of the game’s significant boss encounters.

During the thrilling Tricephalos Expedition, there’s a slim possibility that upon your passing, you might acquire the Old Pocketwatch. However, it’s crucial to have encountered the elusive Gladius, the Beast of Night, at least once in your journey. I personally believe that a more rewarding and strategic approach would be to conquer Gladius instead.

The Antique Timepiece is an artifact that can be carried by one of your Nightfarer characters, providing these benefits when worn:

1. Enhanced Speed: Increased movement speed to outmaneuver enemies more effectively.
2. Mystic Protection: A mysterious shield that reduces incoming damage from attacks.
3. Time Warp: A unique ability to temporarily slow down time during intense battles for a strategic advantage.

Relic Bonuses
Old Pocketwatch FP Restoration upon Successive Attacks
Dexterity +3

However, it has a more important use than just offering a few bonuses.

What to do with the Old Pocketwatch in Elden Ring Nightreign?

After getting hold of the antique pocketwatch, you’ll find yourself with two options: You can opt to retain it for its minor advantages, or alternatively, you could hand it over to the Priestess residing at the Roundtable Hold.

In this instance, a cutscene begins that reveals the Priestess has taken off her hood. This act will grant access to the Duchess, who is one of the eight playable characters known as Nightfarers within Elden Ring: Nightreign.

After passing the relic to her, you’ll still hold onto it and have the option to place it in the emerald relic spot whenever you desire. Provided you haven’t yet released all other characters, this only leaves the enigmatic figure known as the Revenant, who can be unlocked relatively early within the game.

Instead, consider presenting the antique pocketwatch to the Priestess immediately upon obtaining it. It wouldn’t be beneficial to hold onto it when doing so would free up one of the most valuable characters in the game.
