In Elden Ring Nightreign, one valuable feature for character customization is the option to utilize and blend relics. Relics are tiny, abundant items you acquire following almost every journey; even if you perish on the first night, you’ll likely return with a handful of them. Although the relics seem randomly generated, the sheer quantity ensures it’s not much of an issue. You’ll soon accumulate several useful ones for your preferred Nightfarer character.

In Roundtable Hold, you have the ability to assemble relics, customizing unique combinations for each character and storing your preferred combinations. Initially, when you begin the game, each character is limited to a single, preset blend of colors – typically one relic of a specific color and two of another. As you progress through the game, though, you will gradually gain access to new relic arrangement options for all eight playable characters, providing more freedom in experimenting with and combining relics. Gaining New Urns

To acquire new relic loadouts in this game, here’s what I do: Defeating some of Nightreign’s bosses is the key. Sometimes, you’ll receive vessels as rewards for defeating these bosses, or you can buy them at the Small Jar Bazaar. However, it seems like the loot can vary greatly from one player to another. For me, I managed to get my first few via the shop after I successfully beat Tricephalos. If you’re struggling with your current loadout in this Nightfarer world, my suggestion would be to switch characters and embark on a few expeditions until you find a combination that works better for you. If your chosen color combination isn’t working out, you might want to consider buying a few choice artifacts from the Small Jar Bazaar as an alternative. By the way, keep an eye out for the Besmirched Frame when it becomes available. In case the Small Jar Bazaar doesn’t offer any relics that seem beneficial to you, you can also pick up a Scenic Flatstone for 600 Murk. Upon acquisition, these items will generate a random relic; results may vary.

How To Swap Between Different Relic Loadouts

Using Relic Rites

To change among your various relic loadouts, you should head back to Roundtable Hold and interact with the Relic Rites table (shown above). This action will display a menu where you can view all your relics and assign them to different characters. Use RB/RT to browse through your unlocked Nightfarers, then employ the D-pad to navigate and select relics. After choosing one, press A/X to assign it to the desired spot. By using the down key on the D-pad, you’ll be able to view all your distinct color combinations; select one and press A/X to switch to that combination.

You have the ability to attach the same relic to multiple characters or loadouts simultaneously. Additionally, it’s important to know that you can store your preferred relic combinations as presets in the relic menu and quickly switch between them. When you discover a relic setup that suits you, press RS/R3 to save it as one of your presets.
