In the previous year, a significant shock wave swept through the gaming community when Microsoft disclosed that Tango Gameworks, the Japanese game studio owned by Bethesda at the time, would be closed down.

Tango Gameworks Is Back And Working On A New Game
Tango Gameworks unveiled their latest project along with a fresh new identity for the studio on their updated logo and website. Although the studio still resides in Japan, it now has a revamped image. The studio announced, “After careful consideration, we are pleased to announce that our official office for Tango Gameworks, Inc. is now open, completing our hybrid work environment with an in-office presence.
The organization is currently seeking candidates for multiple roles, encompassing senior software developers and animators, IT assistance, and more. It’s rumored that the studio is developing an undisclosed action title, possibly a follow-up to Hi-Fi Rush, since Krafton has procured the intellectual property from Microsoft as well. Nevertheless, this purchase did not extend to The Evil Within or other games produced by the studio.
It appears that the studio has not yet disclosed any fresh details about their work-in-progress game. Given the circumstances, it’s likely we’ll get an update soon. Could it be possible that this announcement will take place at Summer Game Fest as early as this week? Given that Tango was already developing Hi-Fi Rush 2 before Microsoft closed them down, I wouldn’t rule out such a timing for the reveal.
Originally available only on Xbox, Hi-Fi Rush garnered renewed interest when it was made accessible on PS5 recently. If you haven’t played this game yet, it could be worth your time since it has earned universal acclaim. On Open Critic, it holds a “Mighty” rating with an outstanding average score of 89 from more than 130 critics.
