The Anime Adaptation of Naoya Matsumoto’s Manga Continues
Similar to the initial series, Kaiju No. 8 is set to be globally aired on X (previously known as Twitter), making it the unique anime title to have done so. Meanwhile, the spin-off anime, Hoshina’s Day Off, will simultaneously air on X when it premieres on July 5. The voice actor of Tomura Shigaraki, Kōki Uchiyama, is set to join the cast as Gen Harumi, a prominent character from the First Division, who serves as Kikoru’s mentor and is known as “Japan’s Strongest Anti-Kaiju Combatant”. Although the official cast and crew for Kaiju No. 8‘s second season have yet to be announced, it’s likely that many of those who worked on the first season will return for the next one, as they were also involved in the production of the Hoshina’s Day Off special episode.
