How To Complete The Acts Of Kindness Quest In Tainted Grail: The Fall Of Avalon

To enter the sanctum of the All-Mother’s temple in Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon without engaging in a battle with an army, you must first gain Vrann’s favor, who leads the Dal Riata camped before it. This quest offers four unique outcomes, making it quite intriguing.

This manual will walk you step-by-step through all the paths available during your journey, inform you about the places to acquire essential items, and provide a comprehensive overview of the various prizes you’ll collect as you progress.

How To Start The Acts Of Kindness Quest

As a fellow adventurer, I’d recommend embarking on your journey towards the northeastern part of our map. You’ll spot the “All-Mother’s Temple” if you’ve already unlocked all the fast travel points. Upon reaching this temple, you’ll come across Mabyn. She’ll propose a duel, and while she may not be the weakest foe, her combat style primarily revolves around a longsword, making it relatively easy to parry her attacks. She doesn’t possess any magical abilities either. If your character is around level ten, you should have no trouble overcoming this challenge. Good luck!

After defeating Mabyn, make your way towards the triangular house situated on the eastern part of this camp and have a conversation with Vrann. Request permission to enter the temple, as she informs you that you must demonstrate your worthiness first. She will offer you a potion to drink, which serves as a test of your trustworthiness.

In simpler terms, Vrann plans to give a peace offering to the soldiers, her idea being an ear necklace crafted from bandit ears. However, this move may lead to increased hostility between both groups, which is not beneficial for you because it’s the only path in this quest without any extra rewards. You’ll earn 500 XP by giving the necklace to Fearghas and another 1000 XP after speaking with Vrann again.

If the patch modifies the skill check, having a Practicality level of 5 ensures that you’ll successfully pass the skill check every time.

As a strong advocate against such practices, I’d put it this way: “I find it rather unpopular here to discuss the matter of gifting body parts. It’s not something that comes easily, even for those with little knack for practicality.” Later on, she might inquire about your thoughts. Among the options you’ll be presented with for a peaceful resolution, each one will offer you a recipe to craft them should you choose any of these three.

  • “I think that potion would be a perfect gift” – Weak Mathair’s Battlerage Potion
  • “You should put more faith in Ugh’we.” – Ulfr Ceremonial Axe
  • “What about Therrov?” – Theud Protection Charm

How To Make The Weak Mathair’s Battlerage Potion

To concoct the potion, gather these items for her: 3 Iron-like Teeth, a measure of Moonshine, and 5 Wolfsbane. When you hand over the components, she’ll share with you the formula for Weak Mathair’s Battlerage. Fearghas will appear content with the transaction; he’ll then provide you with a barrel full of fish to return to Vrann. This act will bring you 500 XP points. Upon delivering the fish to Vrann, she’ll be delighted and reward you with an extra 1000 XP and a temple key. This is the approach that pleases everyone, and the potion definitely seems valuable.

This Weak Mathair’s Battlerage Potion will decrease incoming damage by 15% for 60 seconds.

How To Make The Ulfr Ceremonial Axe

Approach Ugh’we, engage him in a thorough discussion, then inform him that Vrann has requested he create an axe for the soldiers. Mention that this is a directive from One-Eye. In return, Ugh’we will provide you with a blueprint for the Ulfr Ceremonial Axe. The blueprint shows it will need 12 Iron Ores, 8 pieces of Wood, and 5 Bear Claws. You can gather wood within the fort at the chopping block, while the iron and bear claws can be found on the eastern part of the map.

Make your way to the Ruined Broch fast travel spot, then mine for iron nearby rocks. This area is also home to wandering bears. However, the challenge won’t be in locating the bear, but in taking it down. To increase your chances of success, stock up on potions and consider using either summoned creatures and arrows, or a spear for the attack.

After forging the axe, take it to Ugh’we to complete its refinement. Then, present it cautiously to Fearghas, who will award you with 500 XP. Return to Vrann and share your progress; she’ll recognize your efforts by bestowing 1000 XP upon you and providing the key to the temple. This choice offers mostly favorable outcomes, especially if you’re focusing on a strength-based character, as it will give you an exceptional axe!

46-50 axe that increases critical damage by 100%. Strength requirement of 12.

How To Make The Protective Talisman

Have a conversation with Therrov, then let him know that Vrann requests he create a non-potion gift instead. Mention that this is an instruction from One-Eye. He’ll provide you with a recipe for the Theud Protection Charm. To make the charm, you’ll need 2 pieces of Linen Fiber, 1 piece of Wood, and 1 Bone. You can find the bone near the skeletons in the graveyard north of the fort, gather the wood from within the fort at the chopping block, and obtain the Linen Fibers elsewhere. Once you’ve completed the charm, take it to Fearghas, who will warn you of arrest. Return to Vrann, have a talk with her. Although she seems upset, she will still grant you 1000 XP and the temple key.

Gives a random blessing for 300 seconds after sleeping.
