However, not every trainer is convinced this new feature will be beneficial. Pokémon GO serves as an augmented reality companion game for enthusiasts, utilizing their smartphones’ GPS to discover, capture, train, and battle an array of pocket monsters across more than 150 species. Since its debut in 2016, the game has remained a favorite among players, amassing over 90 million monthly users worldwide after nine years.
2025 marks the comeback of the much-loved Pokemon GO Festival, an annual summer event where trainers meet up in person. In 2025, the festivities will unfold in Osaka, Japan, Jersey City, New Jersey, USA, and Paris, France. Additionally, Pokemon GO has revealed that Legendary Giants are set to return to the mobile game prior to the arrival of GO Fest 2025, and they’ll be part of the Ancients Recovered event taking place from June 23rd to 27th.
On various social platforms, it was revealed that the popular mobile game, Pokemon GO, is introducing a new feature called Community Campsites, which will debut alongside the festivities for the June 21st Pokemon GO Community Day, featuring the Dragon-type character, Jangmo-o. Community Campsites will serve as extra PokeStops and Gyms for trainers, established by a Community Ambassador with the aim of fostering local connections. As part of the Community Ambassador Program, which encourages real-life Pokemon GO communities, these Campsites can be set up by ambassadors, and any dedicated players can apply to become one. Community Ambassadors are also offered special benefits such as item codes, feedback, and ongoing assistance.

Many trainers expressed their struggles in becoming Community Ambassadors, sharing that they were yet to receive approval.
Enthusiasts of the mobile game, Pokemon, are marking July on their calendars with anticipation. The Pokemon Company has announced that they will host a new Pokemon Presents showcase next month, and many fans believe that this event will feature more footage from Nintendo’s upcoming game, Pokemon Legends: Z-A.
