In every title from FromSoftware, there’s a reputation for being challenging, boasting intricate and profound storylines, and offering a versatile combat system that caters to various builds. However, what truly captivates players is the fashion aspect. Compared to optimizing an efficient setup, many devote more time crafting the perfect ensemble instead.

As a gamer immersed in Elden Ring Nightreign, I must admit it’s a bit disappointing that we can’t individually customize each Nightfarer with different armor pieces. However, there’s a silver lining: you do get access to distinctive outfits tailored for each character. The selection isn’t small, but not all costumes are immediately accessible. Here’s a guide on how to discover and unlock every single one of them.

How To Unlock Every Outfit

In Nightreign, all characters initially wear outfits that are already fashionable. However, changing your outfit at the start of the game isn’t an option, despite having the necessary resources to purchase new ones.

As a fan, I’d like to share a tip: To access the Mirror, there’s a challenge ahead. It might seem straightforward, but it’s trickier than you think. You see, to unlock the Mirror, you need to vanquish two distinct Nightlords. Now, since Gladius must be defeated first to unlock all others, your task is to defeat any of the remaining six. Remember, the choice is yours, but I’d suggest giving Gaping Jaw, Sentient Pest, or Augur a try as they are considered the easiest to conquer next. Good luck!

After you’ve successfully unlocked the mirror, you’ll find that both the Dawn and Darkness outfits can be purchased. There are three additional outfits for each Nightfarer that can also be unlocked. The first one is their Remembrance outfit, which becomes accessible once you’ve completed all the Remembrances related to that specific Nightfarer. The last two outfits are iconic from Dark Souls characters, but they’re a bit more challenging to obtain as they require you to defeat the final boss of the game. And just to clarify, even after defeating the boss, you’ll still need to purchase these outfits separately.

Every Outfit For Each Nightfarer

Currently, six different outfits are accessible to every Nightfarer, but there’s a good chance this number could grow with future updates and DLC. For now, let me guide you on how to acquire all of them. Each Nightfarer needs to fulfill the specific conditions for an outfit separately, except for the Dark Souls outfits.

Wylder

Wylder’s six outfits remain mostly the same, with mainly his helmet and colour scheme changing.

For his Dark Souls costumes, he obtains Abysswalker and Lion Knight. The Abysswalker is modeled after the armor of Artorias, a character from the Artorias of the Abyss downloadable content in the original Dark Souls. Since Wylder wields Greatswords as well, it’s an appropriate choice.

The character known as Lion Knight hails from the world of Dark Souls 3, specifically Lion Knight Albert. Without a doubt, this enigmatic figure sports a really awesome costume.

Guardian

The Guardian undergoes significant transformations in his wardrobe, as the overall contour of his bird-like head adapts to fit each new outfit.

For the Dark Souls costumes, the initial one is called Sunlight Knight. This character might not need an introduction, being none other than the renowned Solaire from Dark Souls 1. Although your feathery head remains concealed, at least you’ll have some armor on those wings of yours.

The second one is called Wayfarer, originating from the character known as “Alva the Wayfarer.” Although Alva himself doesn’t make an appearance in Dark Souls 2, you can obtain his armor, and a character who drops the identical armor is featured in Dark Souls 3.

Ironeye

Ironeye consistently adheres to a consistent style in his attire, but there are variations in length for his Dawn and Darkness ensembles. The former has a shorter appearance while the latter is characterized by longer clothing items.

His Dark Souls costumes lean towards the mysterious side. The Ringfinger ensemble is inspired by the character, Leonhard, the Ringfinger, from Dark Souls 3. As he imparts knowledge about invasions, this costume aligns perfectly with the assassin Ironeye’s role.

His second costume is called Sellsword, which was initially introduced in Dark Souls 2, although it wasn’t called the well-known “Drang” name until Dark Souls 3. Once more, this attire fits perfectly for an assassin.

Recluse

The clothing choices of the recluse present a diverse range, straddling the boundary between a pious maiden and a knowledgeable sorceress.

Her Dark Souls-inspired costumes follow the same theme. The Heretic Sorceress costume is modeled after Karla, a witch from Dark Souls 3, known for her proficiency in dark sorcery.

Her second outfit is Emerald Fate, taken more obviously from the Emerald Herald of Dark Souls 2.

Raider

For Raider, his attire serves as a striking element. Though the colors may vary, the general style stays consistent. However, his helmet stands out significantly, resembling the skull of a formidable creature.

The armor sets reminiscent of Havel, first seen in Dark Souls 1 and later in Dark Souls 3, enhance his heavy-duty or tank-like persona. Indeed, the stone-like appearance of Havel’s armor suits Raider very well.

The second is about one of the most cherished characters in Souls games, the renowned knight from Catarina and his various forms.

Executor

The primary variation in their armor lies in the helmet design, color, and additional clothing worn over it, as the body armor is now integrated with the Executor’s own skin.

The costumes worn by the Executor in Dark Souls draw inspiration from diverse sources. One example is the Thorns ensemble, which was inspired by “Kirk, the Knight of Thorns, a frequent invader in Dark Souls 1“.

The second is the Sable Church, which represents Yuria of Londor who appears in Dark Souls 3.

Duchess

Generally speaking, the Duchess tends to stick with a consistent style for her outfits, often switching colors or incorporating elaborate hats that are somewhat reminiscent of Lucatiel from Dark Souls 2.

For her Dark Souls costumes, the initial one is styled after the female version of an armor set from Dark Souls 2, which can be found across all three games.

The style of her Wraith costume seems to be heavily influenced by the Darkwraiths from the initial Dark Souls game. However, it should be noted that this outfit is also featured in later installments of the series as well.

Revenant

The Revenant’s character is quite solemn, and additional costumes only intensify this impression, laden with intricate decorations.

The Revenant is a somber character already, and more outfits, adorned as they are, further emphasize her melancholy image.

Her Dark Souls costumes span a broader range compared to her standard ones. Her initial costume, “The Girl in the Picture,” is derived directly from Sister Friede from Dark Souls 3.

The attire she wears at Dragon School has elements similar to the Dark Souls 1 Sorcerer ensemble, but with some additional stylish details added.

With the relatively expensive price tags on the Darkness outfits, in particular, it will take quite some time to acquire each one if that’s your goal. If additional outfits are introduced, that duration could potentially increase significantly.
