In the primary storyline of Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma, you’ll often be required to visit specific locations during certain hours. However, time progresses quite slowly within this game world, which can lead to tedious waiting for the hours to pass. This is especially annoying in the early stages of play when there aren’t many activities available across the villages. Thankfully, players have an option to quickly advance time and jump to two different times later in the day, making it easier to progress through the game.
How to Skip Time in Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma
Time flies when you find the right mechanic!
To advance through time, players should head to the village’s dragon shrine’s sleeping quarters and engage with it. They will find three choices they can pick from:
1. Option 1: Rest and rejuvenate.
2. Option 2: Meditate and gain wisdom.
3. Option 3: Communicate and seek guidance.
- Sleep
- Wait until Noon
- Wait until Nighttime
Sleeping concludes your day, accumulating any XP you’ve gained so far. Upon waking, it will be 6:00 AM the next day. This is an action you’ll often perform during the main storyline, but certain companion quests may also necessitate waiting a full day.
Waiting until noon means that the clock will automatically move forward to 12:00 PM. This is useful when you need to wait for specific times like 3:00 PM, but it’s also helpful if you just want to wait for midday itself. The screen will turn black, and before you know it, time has passed.
At exactly 7:00 PM that very same day, you’ll regain control over your character as the sun sets.
Many of the primary missions necessitate your presence at a specific spot, either at 7:00 PM or 9:00 PM. If your schedule permits and you wish to expedite things without engaging in other activities, ‘waiting until evening’ would be an ideal choice.
It might appear unusual in a game like Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma to race through the main missions and skip days. However, once you’ve invested around 10 hours into the game, that’s when the game truly unfolds. The deeper you progress in the storyline, the more features you’ll unlock within each village, and the more responsibilities you’ll manage. At this point, you’ll notice that you’ll use the time-skipping ability less frequently, but at the start, don’t hesitate to utilize it if you need to reach your next goal swiftly.
As a player, I find that allowing my virtual self to rest peacefully until morning significantly boosts my in-game earnings. This is because the extra time gives my digital crops an opportunity to grow and yield more resources for me!
