Starting the new season of thrilling activities called “Delightful Days” in Pokemon GO this summer, players can expect a fresh wave of exciting events. A recent preview hinted at the arrival of some much-anticipated Pokemon such as Hisuian Lilligant and Yamper. The video showcased beloved creatures like Quaxly and Eevee, leading fans to speculate they might be the main characters for upcoming Community Days. In fact, Pokemon GO has confirmed an Eevee Community Day Classic on July 5th, but the creators also made an unexpected announcement about a significant event happening in August.
In August 2025, players of Pokemon GO will have the opportunity to choose which Pokemon will be highlighted during the game’s Community Day event. A poll will be posted on the game’s official YouTube channel on June 7 at 6:00 PM PDT and will run for a single day. The four options to vote between are Frillish, Wimpod, Rookidee, and Lechonk. If Frillish wins, it will evolve into Jellicent learning Poltergeist as its charged attack. Similarly, if Lechonk wins, players can expect an Oinkologne with Disarming Voice as its charged attack after evolution. The winning Pokemon will be announced shortly following the poll’s conclusion, but specific details about event bonuses will be shared at a later time. For now, Pokemon GO‘s Community Day schedule for the current season has been revealed, with the August edition scheduled for the 30th.

Lastly, Rookidee is the most recently introduced candidate, having been released in January 2025. Notably, Rookidee is currently the only nominee without a shiny form available in Pokemon GO, but winning the poll may not automatically result in its shiny debut.
It’s important to mention that each player in Pokemon GO can cast only a single vote during the August Community Day poll. Additionally, mark your calendars for June 21st, as it will be Jangmo-o’s first Community Day event.
