Etheria: Restart – Beginners Tips & Tricks

As a gamer, I can’t wait to jump into Etheria: Restart, where I’ll experience a fresh take on tactical RPGs with its turn-based gameplay and open-world exploration! This game takes place in a futuristic virtual city, offering me an array of combat tactics as I navigate through the gripping narrative.

Restart” is a game that’s free to play, user-friendly, and for those who have pre-registered, there are some valuable resources available for immediate use at the outset. Moreover, most of the mechanics are straightforward, so here are some tips and tricks tailored for beginners before you dive in.

Choose The Right Animus

One enjoyable aspect of embarking on the game “Etheria: Restart” lies in the fact that players are given a chance to obtain an SSR character upon their initial summon. Although you need to accumulate resources for tickets to perform the summon, it’s not overly demanding because ample resources are earned while progressing through the first few storylines. The advantage is that you get to select your preferred character from among the 40 pulls available.

You have 16 Animus options available in total, however, for a strategic start, consider leveraging some top performers to give you an initial boost:

  • Tiamat – she’s your best bet for starting out because not only is she easy to use, but she scales off HP as well. On top of that, she boosts her DMG, can heal, and has a shield. She’s incredibly versatile for new players and the best option.
  • Lilith – if you want a heavy-hitter DPS that focuses purely on attack and dominating the battlefield.
  • Helkid – he’s a good carry Animus and really great if you want a character to provide you with a shield during your battles.
  • Rosa – a decent option for DPS

To put it simply, when starting out, Tiamat is a suitable character choice due to her beginner-friendly nature. Keep in mind that upon finishing specific in-game objectives, you’ll receive Lian, Liangluo, and Rahu for free. Therefore, it’s not advisable to pick them initially as your first summon.

Familiarize Yourself With The Combat System

In the game Etheria: Restart, the combat system is simple to grasp, but it requires careful memory if you aim to thrive. It operates in turns and the number of characters you can bring into a fight varies according to the battle, with a maximum of five. Each character possesses three abilities, and aligning each fight with the suggested affinity (element) will likely help you conquer the level. Furthermore, monitoring your character’s advancement and deciding wisely on how to invest resources for their development is crucial too.

In your selection of characters, remember to avoid advancing those you might swap out later. Prioritize enhancing your Animus with your Investigation Materials first, then seek the required Modules for your chosen character. If you’re new to this, concentrate on HP-focused Modules for defenders and healers, while ATK and Speed-centric Modules suit DPS and Support roles. The Shell, being a pet companion for every Animus, is crucial too; finding the right one is key. Initially, aim for stats similar to your initial Module setup before exploring other build options.

Games Modes

In the game “Etheria: Restart,” players can engage in both Player vs Environment (PVE) and Player vs Player (PVP) scenarios. There are two distinct ways to participate, each offering unique rewards. The game is designed so that PVE leaderboards vary based on the server you’re connected to, but friendships and Union membership can cross servers. The PVE aspect of the game is simple and consists of:

  • Grim Pursuit
  • Threshold
  • Investigation
  • GP Outpost
  • Anisync Echoes
  • Phantom Theater
  • Ember Trek
  • EtherNet Rally
  • Events

PVP includes:

  • Etherena
  • Summit Arena
  • Fearless Arena

One suggestion we offer is to regularly engage in Player vs Player (PVP) combat. It’s a fun activity, and even if you don’t win, you’ll still receive a generous amount of currency and anima. Often, the game pairs you with opponents whose characters you can defeat. However, there’s only a slim chance that you might encounter someone stronger. Regardless, the rewards are always welcome, and the experience is worth the effort.

Prioritize Farming

After gaining access to the initial stages of the game, prioritize using your daily energy to gather resources essential for upgrading your Animus, Modules, and their skills. For instance, if you select an Animus like Tiamat, head towards the Terrormaton Boss to collect HP Modules that she requires. Remember to identify which bosses offer which drops before farming. Initially, concentrate on enhancing your Animus, followed by its Modules, then Shells, and lastly, its Skills. There’s no limit to farming, but it’s wise to be strategic in choosing what and how you farm.

Look For Chests During Investigations

Here, you won’t gather resources for upgrading, but you can find some gems by searching for treasure chests. Navigating these levels is straightforward; simply stroll around to discover the chests. It also encourages the habit of exploring as soon as new quests are unlocked. The least valuable items are colored blue, and the most precious ones are golden.

Know Your Affinities

In the game Etheria: Restart, there are five distinct affinities, each superior to another. The initial trio forms a cycle where Reason dominates Hollow, Hollow outperforms Odd, and Odd excels over Reason. Disorder and Constant neutralize each other. It’s crucial to verify, before entering battle, the affinity type of the Boss, and tailor your team selection accordingly. Engaging with a team that has an affinity at a disadvantage can lead to multiple unfavorable status conditions.
