Nami’s Top 10 Most Powerful Attacks in One Piece

Summary

  • Nami’s Clima-Tact gives her power over weather, allowing her to create storms and thunder attacks easily.
  • Tornado Tempo is her old finishing move, but Thunder Lance Tempo is her accurate single-target finisher.
  • With Zeus as an ally, Nami can control thunder attacks like Ninpo: Raitei and launch Thunder Shark Tempo.

As the navigator for the Straw Hat Pirates, Nami excels at guiding the crew towards their next destination. What truly sets her apart is her exceptional feel and instinct for predicting weather patterns. This skill has been a defining characteristic of hers since her debut, but it truly came to light when she acquired the Clima-Tact. With this device, Nami can now apply her meteorological expertise in battle situations.

Even though Nami is skilled in handling a bo staff, her preferred strategy in combat revolves around employing her Clima-Tact to generate weather phenomena, typically thunder and lightning. This has been made simpler for her after spending two years on Weatheria, allowing her to conjure up a storm with just a flick of her fingers. With the spirit of Zeus incorporated into her Clima-Tact, Nami’s attacks have grown more powerful than ever before.

10. Tornado Tempo

A Dangerous Party Trick

Initially, Nami’s initial powerful move was called Tornado Tempo. This move, as claimed by Usopp, could only be used once and would vanquish any human adversary. To activate it, the Clima-Tact needed to be arranged in a T formation. When an enemy got too close, it would launch two toy birds towards them, ensnaring their limbs with wire. Subsequently, the Clima-Tact would whirl rapidly and propel the trapped individual with immense force.

Nami’s most powerful move using the original Clima-Tact feels quite outdated now, with little connection to weather. Against the beasts of the New World, it might not be very effective. Yet, it symbolizes a nod to the times in One Piece before Haki and overpowered Devil Fruit abilities.

9. Gust Sword

Blade Of Pressurized Air

Following her time on the floating island of Weatheria, Nami rejoined her fellow Straw Hat Pirates boasting a significant enhancement to her Clima-Tact. This upgrade utilized Weatheria’s cutting-edge technology, enabling Nami to summon natural events at will. The Gust Sword is just one of many new capabilities that the improved Clima-Tact now offers.

Upon targeting my adversary with one of Nami’s batons, I notice a bubble emerging from its tip. As this bubble bursts, it unleashes a powerful gust of air that propels my enemy forcefully away. This wind is potent enough to hoist an adult Fish-Man aloft and render him unconscious instantaneously.

8. Tornado Tempo (Ver. 2)

Creating A Real Tornado

Instead of being a finishing move like its predecessor, the Tornado Tempo’s revamped version doesn’t finish things off but rather generates a mini tornado instead. By spinning her baton, Nami creates bubbles filled with compressed air. She then guides these bubbles to burst in a specific direction, resulting in a powerful gust of wind that sweeps everything away through a large funnel shape.

As an avid observer, I can’t help but marvel at the might of this whirlwind vortex I summon! It carries such force that it could scatter Kaido’s Gifters and lower-ranking crew with a single gust. Granted, there’s a brief wind-up period, but once unleashed, it materializes swiftly, making it an excellent catch for a surprise attack. What’s more intriguing is how my adversaries often underestimate me, Nami, and this unexpected power I wield!

7. Thunderbolt Tempo

The Standard Shock Attack

Thunderbolt Tempo is an initial combo move by Nami, developed upon her first use of Clima-Tact. Following numerous enhancements and extensive study over time, this attack now strikes faster and harder than ever before. These lightning bolts possess the power to render even seasoned Devil Fruit users temporarily unconscious.

Initially, Nami could unleash this attack only by summoning storm clouds via her Clima-Tact; however, after gaining knowledge about weather phenomena on Weatheria, she can now generate an even more potent impact in mere seconds using a Weather Egg. By wielding her staff, she channels the volatile energy towards her foes, hitting them with a swift shock of electricity.

6. Thunder Breed Tempo

A Versatile Bolt Of Thunder

Following the time jump, Nami came back equipped with the convenient skill to instantly generate various weather conditions through Weather Eggs, thereby expanding the scope of her powers greatly. Now, she can summon a vast array of thunderclouds and manipulate the lightning inside them, utilizing her staff as a control device.

It appears that Thunder Breed Tempo works optimally in vast, open environments where clouds can span a larger area, allowing Nami to manage the lightning bolts from afar with greater safety. On Punk Hazard, she employed this attack against Buffalo and Baby 5, successfully striking them even as they attempted to escape flight.

5. Raiun Rod

Crack Like A Whip

During their time on Fish-Man Island, Nami demonstrated an attack called Raiun Rod. This move involved numerous miniature thunderclouds confined within bubbles that were all interconnected. With these bubbles, she could lash out like a whip, spreading them among a group of people before bursting the bubbles, thereby discharging electricity and shocking everyone nearby.

I seldom engage in one-on-one combat, preferring to pave the path for my comrades instead. That’s something Raiun Rod excels at, but she can only do so when her friends aren’t in harm’s way. Most of her moves encompass vast areas, potentially causing injury to my fellow Straw Hats if they happen to be nearby.

4. Thunder Lance Tempo

Single Target Finisher

Among Nami’s arsenal, the Thunder Lice (or Lance) stands out as one of her strongest single-target attacks, with an accuracy rate close to perfect. Debuting in her battle against Kalifa from CP9, this attack harnesses electricity from a compact storm cloud, channeling it through the Clima-Tact and impaling the target. Despite being less experienced and weaker compared to Kalifa, Nami managed to emerge victorious by utilizing Thunder Lance Tempo.

Following the time jump, I noticed that Nami’s setup for this attack is remarkably swift now, as she no longer manually crafts clouds. During her skirmish against Ulti, one of Kaido’s lieutenants, Nami immediately conjured a cloud the moment she was assaulted. This quick action caught the Beast Pirate off guard. The attack, with a single strike, managed to stun Ulti in her Ancient Zoan form instantaneously.

3. Ninpo: Raitei

Nami’s Electric Homing Missile

Following an alliance between Nami and one of Big Mom’s associates known as Zeus, she managed to create some spectacular new attacks. During their time in Wano, she devised Ninpo: Raitei, a technique where she fed a Weather Egg containing a storm cloud to Zeus, then controlled him using her Clima-Tact. By moving the egg, she could move Zeus himself, and striking an object would result in a massive release of electricity.

In this new union between Zeus and the Clima-Tact, the power of the attack significantly increased. Now, Zeus personally wields the thunderbolt, pursuing adversaries until they are struck by it. This alliance for Nami essentially guarantees a hit on even powerful Devil Fruit users.

2. Thunder Shark Tempo

A Bite Of Electricity

In the land of Elbaf, Nami’s latest assault involves hurling Zeus, who transforms into a shark-shaped thundercloud. Guided by his sentience, Zeus can maneuver the trajectory until impact. Regrettably, when aimed at Gunko, the Arrow-Arrow Fruit’s power caused it to veer off course.

Upon impact, the target gets struck with a massive electric outburst. Theoretically, this action resembles Ninpo- Raitei, but it’s not entirely clear. When Brook was hit by Thunder Shark Tempor, he seemed to be in relatively good shape a short while later. However, this could have been for comedic effect given the circumstances.

1. Zeus Breeze Tempo

An Earth-Shaking Blast

On Whole Cake Island, during their escape from Big Mom, Nami unleashed her most powerful attack yet. By ingesting numerous thunderclouds from the Clima-Tact and a Weather Egg, Zeus the cloud expanded into a massive storm cloud many times larger. Soaring high above, this colossal cloud was guided by Nami to channel its immense energy directly at Big Mom, who was the Emperor in question.

Just prior to the attack, the tempest brought about powerful gusts, capable of bowing trees and stirring up ocean waves. The clap of thunder was immense, vibrating the entire island and carving a crater vast enough to entomb Big Mom. Although it didn’t completely halt her feeding frenzy, it did manage to somewhat slow her down.
