About the JUJUTSU KAISEN Hidden Inventory/Premature Death Film
The Compilation Features A Brand-New Ending Scene
Titled “JUJUTSU KAISEN: Hidden Past/Premature End,” this collection brings together the initial five episodes from the second season of the JUJUTSU KAISEN animated series. This compelling narrative focuses on the heart-wrenching past of the show’s main character, Satoru Gojō, and his bond with ex-student of Jujutsu Technical High School, Suguru Getō. After a string of devastating experiences, Getō developed a deep-seated animosity towards non-sorcerers, aiming to create a new world order where jujutsu sorcerers are the dominant life form.
The movie version of JUJUTSU KAISEN deviates from being merely a rehash of the mentioned storyline in the anime, featuring a fresh final scene rumored to be found in “JUJUTSU KAISEN Hidden Inventory/Premature Death.” This new scene, as described by Takahiro Sakurai, who voices Getō, is said to pack quite an emotional punch, regardless of your prior knowledge of its outcome.
The upcoming “JUJUTSU KAISEN” compilation movie is helmed by Shōta Goshozono, the director of season 2, with Hiroshi Seko handling series composition and screenplay, Sayaka Koiso and Tadashi Hiramatsu providing character designs, Junichi Higashi taking care of art direction, Daisuke Ishikawa of Monster’s Egg leading in 3D direction, Teppei Ito overseeing photography direction, and Yoshimasa Terui contributing to the music. The main cast from the “Hidden Inventory/Premature Death” anime series reprises their roles, with Yūichi Nakamura as Satoru Gojō, Takahiro Sakurai as Suguru Getō, Aya Endō as Shōko Ieiri, Anna Nagase as Riko Amanai, and Takehito Koyasu (known for his role as Dio Brando in “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure”) as Tōji Fushiguro. Debuting at #4 on the Box Office, the “JUJUTSU KAISEN” compilation movie has secured a spot among the top 5 films, alongside titles such as the 28th “Detective Conan (Case Closed)” film, “One-eyed Flashback,” which opened at #1 and is currently holding strong at #2 in its seventh weekend.
The Jujutsu Kaisen movie, titled “Hidden Inventory/Premature Death,” debuted at the fourth position on Japan’s Box Office. This film is scheduled to be released in the United States on July 16.
