In late June, it’s been confirmed that Pokemon GO will introduce Yamper and its evolution, Boltund, as part of a special event. These Generation 8 Pokemon are the first of several anticipated debuts during the current season of Pokemon GO.

Previously in May, the game Pokemon GO unveiled its latest event called Delightful Days season, starting on June 3rd. The creators hinted at several new Pokemon appearing during this summer-inspired period, such as Hisuian Lilligant and all three variations of Tatsugiri. It was also confirmed that Yamper, the lovable Electric-type dog Pokemon from Galar, would be joining the game. Ever since Pokemon GO started introducing Galarian creatures in 2020, fans have eagerly awaited Yamper’s arrival. Luckily for players, they won’t have to wait much longer as Yamper is set to appear in Pokemon GO shortly.

The game Pokemon GO has announced its upcoming Yamper’s Paw Prints event, scheduled from June 20 at noon to June 22 at 11:59 PM in your local time zone. As the title indicates, this event will introduce both Yamper and its evolution, Boltund. Players can evolve the Electric-type into Boltund by using 50 Yamper Candy. During this event, players will receive double the Stardust when catching Pokemon and have a higher chance of encountering rare shiny forms of Snubbull, Poochyena, and Furfrou. Moreover, several dog Pokemon such as Growlithe, Houndour, and Fidough will appear more frequently in the wild. Interestingly, this event coincides with Jangmo-o’s Community Day on June 21.
